Dorothy Perkins is closing a lot of shops. They will only retain a few high-traffic ones. Affected employees will be reassigned to other companies within the group. They're encouraging online transactions. Suki kasi wife ko sa Aura branch and nagtaka sya bakit bagsak presyo so nakichika sa tauhan don.

We are also very saddened for the closure of emerald garden I remember they use to have an extension store right adjacent to it. Is emerald garden already open during early 80's?

When I go to malls, it doesn’t feel like 50% lang nawalang mall goers, more like 80% ang nawala.

Maybe you’re referring to just the grocery?

Other retail outlets walang customers, sometimes zero sales in a day.

i have this belief that majority of those establishments that declared permanent closure, are in fact, hibernating.
something to do with labor laws, siguro...

    + 1

Galing ako ng mall kahapon, napansin ko na yung mga non-essential boutiques (like Bench, Penshoppe) wala talagang customer kahit naka sale na mga items nila. Karamihan, either nasa fastfood/resto, or grocery.

    how can the economy recover

dito sa QC di ka pwede pumasok sa supermarket pag walang quarantine pass

sayang mga customer bibili sana pero di pinayagan pumasok... lost sales yan

sobra limited ang number of customers

8pm curfew -- pre-pandemic a lot of consumer spending happens at night

    restaurants, bars, night clubs etc

now my area is a ghost town around 7:30

    wala... malayo pa ang recovery

Malaking effect talaga sa commerce ang hindi makalabas minors and seniors.

    And may curfew pa.
