I remember this little excerpt from Gordon and Pong Payumo when they were arguing over live telecast on why 'Flash Gordon' should leave SBMA as ordered by then President Erap:

Gordon: "You know why I must stay for the sake of the people of SBMA? Because your promises are as fake as your wig!"

Payumo: "You know DICK, your head does look more like your name."

    :hysterical:

Workers want to live close to their places of work to save on time and fares. But they don’t have to be squatters in urban areas if they can commute to their homes in the provinces through fast trains. Workers in Tokyo, Japan, for example, commute everyday to their homes as far away as the equivalent of Manila to Tarlac or Pangasinan and La Union because of the Bullet Train.”

Gordon and Fernando continued: “And that’s the reason for the traffic congestion in Metro Manila. Cargo trucks from the northern provinces going south of Manila have to pass through Metro Manila, even when they have nothing to do there, because there is no other way, and thus contribute to the traffic jams. With the railroad, cargo doesn’t have to pass through downtown Metro Manila.”

Another cause of traffic jams is that huge truck-trailers carrying container vans from the piers to their final destinations compete with downtown traffic. There used to be railroad tracks from the piers to the Tutuban terminal and, from there, to points north and south of Manila. Why not rehabilitate these tracks and transport cargo from the piers through the railroad so cargo trucks don’t have to add to the traffic congestion?

Gordon said one of his priorities would be to rehabilitate, modernize, and expand the railroad."

+ 1 point for the Transformers (Gordon & Fernando)

This is one great idea, for us to easily move our shipping in fast pace; this could even mean, more Import and Export here in our country......

Gordon has the best track record so far and the most eloquent of the candidates. Kung di lang under si Gibo ng admin, I'll vote for him.

Gordon will give out Kindle e-book readers

He also mapped out a plan to fund a $1.7 billion (or P85 billion) project to give 17 million students a Kindle electronic book reader.
"You can get an electronic book where you can put in the entire curriculum of the school from grade school to college," the senator said.
Kindle, released by online book retailer Amazon.com, is a device that allows people to read digital versions of books. Gordon said it is priced at $100 wholesale.
To fund the Kindle project, Gordon said plans to cut down on corruption, which amounts to about 300 billion pesos.
If this does not work, he plans to improve mining, an industry reportedly worth $1-trillion, to give additional funding for the free e-book reader project.
If both do not work, Gordon said the quickest way to raise funds is through a "text for education" campaign, where P0.50 from every 2 billion text messages will be used to fund teacher's salaries and the Kindle project.

ginagawa naman iyan ngayon. i just hope the undergoing rehabilitation of the pnr right now would not be stymied by whoever rules the roost post may 10.

i'm actually leaning towards gordon's candidacy although i still have doubts.

how does his family conduct themselves in olongapo anyway? do/did they rule w/ impunity? i'd like to hear firsthand how they handled themselves over there if there are any olongapo people here. kasi dito sa manila ok naman sila kumilos (as far as i can tell) having known his daughter back in college years ago

we all have our ideas on the good and bad sides of the candidates. thus, if i may suggest, let's stick to the facts when we reply on this issue. that is, if we have no real proof and we just have hearsays, then, at least let's mention that when we say sometihing nasty or good about a candidate. for example, "narinig ko na si gordon ay ...", "sabi ng kapitbahay ko eh si gibo raw yung ...", "nabasa ko sa tabloid na si villar daw eh ...", etc. sa ganyan, maiiwasan natin ang magtirahan ng personal sa ganitong forum. suggestion lang naman mga brader. its better not to pose as a first hand witness if we just got the news from the grapevine.

now to get back to the topic, i'm going for the transformers - mainly because they have the most credible track record of service, they talk the least crap among the pack, and most of all, my conscience is telling me to do the right thing. :-)

    +1 dito.

oo nga naman. the traffic rules being implemented in sbma is based on discipline and much cheaper cost-wise if we really think about it. the thing is, why do pinoys obey them when they are in that area... and go back to their anarchy the moment they're out?

to me it only shows that we can if we want to. too bad we don't seem to want to most of the time.

simple reason why i'm going for someone with the real political will to change and the track record showing he was able to get his subordinates to change.

    Na tumbok mo sir.
I have been monitoring this thread since I started it.
My purpose is to know this person, whether he deserves my vote.
We want facts and not hearsay. If you think you have something against Gordon or even Bayani be ready to defend or prove what your saying. Barely a hundred days to go before elections, AYAW ko MAGSISI FOR SIX (6) loooooooong years.

I would suggest Mr. Tootsie to watch the news, debates & decide if you believe what the candidate is saying. If you watched ANC awhile ago around 6:45pm nakita mo pano manindigan si Gordon. Naniniwala ako sa sinabi nya about what he said about Villar, the Senate, the poor, and the Filipino people in general. Kung di man sya maging presidente, I have no problems him being the Senate president in the future.

    Dati Noynoy ako.
Now, I'm for Gordon. I think he can improve the Philippines under his progressive thinking. He has the iron will which is what we really need.

Sayang... di ako nag register para maka boto
