Watching Hollow Man (2000 film) last night, couldn't help but notice how apt this quote would be to describe mypres ... especially to those who had voter's remorse after voting him into office.

    actual quote

Linda: "Let me tell you a little secret. The concept of Sebastian is much more appealing than Sebastian himself. "
    let's tweak it thus

Let me tell you a little secret. The concept of MYPRES is much more appealing than MYPRES himself.

Good point. Sadly the 21M voters, "nadaya" count included, does seem silent but not yet remorseful enough to affect the popularity of thr Pres.

Curious, mas ok ba sayo if the Marcoses return to power?

BBM is very well set up for a 2022 presidential campaign. Whether or not he wins the VP recount, the perception has already been established that he has enough of a national following to win the top executive seat. No one from the opposition has enough charisma to top him.

there's this perception that the Aquinos are as holy as canonized saints and the Marcoses are pure evil

whoever wrote Phil. history after 1986 did a good job of creating that perception

i can understand why BBM is so determined to return to national power

He's on a mission to repair 30 years of damage to the Marcos name

not only for himself but for his parent's grandchildren and descendants

i'm not a martial law denier

i know the history of martial law as well as the average gen X-er

what if the Aquinos aren't half as holy as they portray themselves to be?

what if the Marcoses aren't half as evil as their enemies want the public to believe?

so if the question is OK lang ba sakin the Marcoses return to national power?

    i guess yes

as if uulitin nila ang nagawa ng tatay nila which will only prove their enemies right

they want to clean their name diba?

Assuming the Aquinos aren't all good and the Marcoses aren't all bad. Net net, are you saying the Aquinos are worse than the Marcoses?

I just want to confirm because you're adamant that the Aquinos should be wiped out from power but don't mind the Marcoses returning to supremacy.

Ang ninakaw sa kaban ng bayan namamana ng mga anak at kanunununuan.

If they want to clean their name and reputation, they need to give back the billions of dollars owed to the Filipino people. Instead, this money is being used to finance a return to power.

And even if the Aquinos wiped out the whole population of Tarlac through atrocities, it would still pale in comparison to what the Marcoses cost the Filipino people, both in actual money and lives lost.

you mean mawala lahat ng Aquino sa goberyno?

who is the remaining Aquino in govt? Bambam?

kahit hindi na ma-elect uli si Bambam meron parin naman yellows sa gobyerno diba?

    it's not the surname lang

    that's not the point

kahit bumalik sa national power mga Marcos, sigurado meron parin yellows sa gobyerno

as long as they remain the minority it's ok

His family already screwed the country once, how confident are you he won't do the same again? Only in the Philippines where a kleptomaniac's son would be considered to be Presidential material.

“Only in the Philippines could a leader like Ferdinand Marcos, who pillaged his country for over 20 years, still be considered for a national burial. Insignificant amounts of the loot have been recovered, yet his wife and children were allowed to return and engage in politics" -- Lee Kuan Yew
At least this foreigner got it right.

To Marcos Loyalists, Marcos and his family did nothing, as in NOTHING, wrong to the Philippines.

To allow a BBM admin is to allow the billions of dollars stolen to be forgotten. It will trivialize the decades of plundering and subsequent economic stagnation/downfall of the Philippines.

And would you prefer that just because Noynoy looks like he has no empathy?

    I'm just wondering.

Who'd you rather as president? Duterte or Bongbong? I don't know who is worse between them.
