Well I think he's done a fine job so no need for him to feel that way. We have to understand that, being a Foreign Affairs Secretary of CHina in Philippines is a tough task. But Last time I check, since he gained the post, he had well defended China's actions in South China Sea versus Filipino patriots.

And then there is this Party list rep (ACTS-OFW Rep. Anieceto Bertiz III) who wanted to expel and do the same persona non grata thing on Kuwaiti Ambassador -- well suck it, there's no one there to expel, they already left PH, you moron. Sawsaw pa ang mga nag didigong-digongan.

I wonder what the newly and specially appointed Presidential Envoy on OFW Affairs is doing. Paging Ka Eduardo.

Nilabag na nga nila ang batas ng Kuwait ... matapang pa sila mag post sa social media (facebook of ThinkingPinoy) ng paglabag nila ... which was then broadcast on national TV ... moronic moves ... parang yung mga hodaper/ carnapper, etc. na nahuli dahil sa post nila sa facebook pinagyayabang krimen nila .... kakahiya ang DFA ... matet should just resign and save face.

Obvious naman gusto nila more than 6 months... and that's why bukas ang pinto sa extension ... just read the fine print in mypres's proclamation ... yung 16M lang ang nauuto't naloloko ni mypres.

“The state of calamity in the Island of Boracay shall remain in force and effect until lifted by the President, notwithstanding the lapse of the six-month closure period,” the proclamation said.

Haha! Laglagan at turuan! Its too bad mga OFW natin ang kawawa at napuputukan. Before the 2016 elections, pini-predict ko na (ala-Kagalingan) that Digong will really do something stupid and the Filipinos will be taking the hit. Ito na siguro yun.

Sumabay na dapat yun European union na suspend or alisin yun trade tariff free ng Phillipines sa kanila.

Sinong third country kaya ang maging intermediary natin with Kuwait? US, OZ, Europeans? Pero teka lang hinde pala natin sila kailangan sabi ni tatay digong. [emoji23]

Tapos deported pa yun missionary na OZ.

China? Russia? Walang magagawa...ano na mga BFF?

So the 260,000 OFWs in Kuwait may have no representation since no one will be officially manning the embassy.

First time in history daw na pinalayas PH Ambassador. Persona non grata. [emoji23]

Tapos yun ibang embassy natin sa Middle East are now also feeling the heat dahil siyempre kampi sila sa Kuwait.

Sino ba nag upload? Sila mocha ba and yun isang bakla na Socmed consultant ng DFA?

Mabuti nga! this is a legit intentional crisis... Incompetent talaga si Cayetano. I hope this will be the start of PH being ostracized by international community,

Not really. India has almost double our OFW remittances but there is no such thing as "Action, Kaloka".

The mindset of some people in the present gov't is that like the Pres., they can act tough and get away with it. Unfortunately that is not the case. PDigong only acts tough here, not in another country. That is the problem that is why this issue arose.

Yes it is true that having 6M OFW is bound to cause humanitarian problems in other countries esp those that have been traditionally discriminatory towards other race. But the present issue is one of violation of sovereignty. It's the people from the Embassy in Kuwait that made the judgement error. Bottom line is, if the representatives of our country followed protocol, this won't be an issue.

pinay maids being mistreated and killed

    govt had to do something

which lead to this foreign affairs problem

if the country exported goods instead of humans we wouldn't have this problem in the first place

They're in the middle of talks with Kuwaiti govt on how to better protect our OFWs.

Bakit kailangan pang mag pasikat? I think if they didn't eagerly posted this for their PR, Kuwait would just shrug it and maybe just file a more civil diplomatic protest as well.

But by posting it online, pinahiya natin yun host country what do we expect them to do?

They were licking theie wounds na nga dahil napahiya na sila doon sa pinatay na OFW. Add insult to injury ito.

Competitive/comparative advantage and globalization gave us advantage as OFW. If you think that is wrong, aba eh tagal na sana tayo nasa kangkungan.

You of all people here should know how much of an impact OFW remittances are.

To save face, PDigong should indeed fiore the ambassador, surrendeer the 3 filipinos with warrant of arrests and kick matet out of DFA. Althought the last part can wait since sabi naman niya mag-resign siya if hindi na maayos.

coz admin after admin after admin didn't do anything to encourage investment in industries that make goods

so people had no choice but to go abroad

and since admin after admin after admin saw the economy being supported by remittances, there was no political will to change things

not only that, this labor export is now institutionalized

our govt is making deals with other govts to supply caregivers, english teachers etc

the Phil govt has become a manpower agency

    --

tapos pag may giyera, the govt spends a lot of money to fly home OFWs

    oh well

this is the business model the govt wants
