Cayetano won't run for president, discerns new 'role' in 222 | The Manila Times

Divide by what? You can't divide anything by zero (w/c is Cayetnao's voter base).

Politicians abuse the law regarding substitution. simply because of the Black propaganda usually being thrown by the rivals. Its their way of delaying the inevitable attack. It was only prominently used by DU30 in 2016 and it seems being widely used by a lot of aspirants this coming 2022 elections.
Just Think about having an election without substitution, magpapatayan ang mga politiko sa probinsya. Not that its a bad thing killing politicians but it will create chaos in the countryside. It was partly created for that purpose to prevent rivals from killing each other.

I've always heard that news even before duterte. A politician will be killed after filing coc and then would be substituted by his wife or any relatives or from same party.

Maybe they should change the rule that the one beiig substituted have a good reason to step down, death, become disabled, etc. If no good reason the candidate would just be removed from the election and not substituted.

Maybe they could since this tactic of substitution only started happened frequently in recent election.
Previous candidates especially those vying in the national elections would always do a lot of premature campaigning.
it was estimated before that you need at least over 1 year of premature campaigning to at least be able to have your name be recalled by every voter/town in the archipelago.
It is still being done today by most national candidates at the cost of avoiding comelec eyes.
SOCMED has reduced that premature campaigning but in the phil there are still places with minimal internet penetration and still prefer traditional campaigning.

Fake news daw ito. They clarified that the 1sambayan meant they are sure Leni will accept the nomination. Maybe a misquote?

I watched the interview with Armin Luistro, and I did not take his statements to say that Leni is running.

While Leni was grateful for the nomination, she is still undecided by that time.

BongBong just announced his candidacy for president.

So Sara Duterte may not run afterall.

Will Pacquiao get the Mindanao vote?

Not necessarily. it might depend on who DU30 will endorse as his Official Candidate for president. DU30 still has a lot of influence in Mindanao and his endorsement would surely mean more votes in Mindanao.

with BongBong announcement of his running for president does that mean Leni will soon announce hers?
