March 2nd, 2010 03:59 PM #201bro, share lang din..medyo malaki na yung tire size na naibigay sayo..last time na nagka gulong ako ng 195-70-14 konti na lang ang clearance sa wheel well pag liliko, malapit nang sumagi sa mud guard, isang daliri na lang ang pagitan at gaya ng kay sir cvt, sumasayad din yung goma sa fender pag medyo napadaan sa maalong kalsada. so kahit siguro medyo pataasan mo yung harap, sasayad na yung shoulder ng goma sa parteng likod ng fender, (pinagkakabitan ng mud guard) pagliliko, . syang yung goma mo..
about sa valve cover gasket..nasa 100 mahigit lang yun. yung 1 set na overhauling gasket nasa 1000 mahigit..baka kailanganin mo rin yung ibang gasket, kumpleto ka na..syempre replacement parts lang yun..hindi ko alam kung magkano OEM. good luck sa tune up.. safe driving.

BTW ung tagas ko kasi sa may valve cover ng makina. . . does this mean i have to buy the whole set of gaskets? or kahit ung pang valve cover lng? hnd ko pa kasi nakita itsura ng valve gasket ng vanette eh . . . slamat ulit. . .

March 3rd, 2010 12:27 PM #205you can buy what you only need..pwedeng valve cover gasket lang. goma sya na malambot lang..your old maybe stiff and even brittle na dahil sa init ng engine kaya di na sya makakapgseal ng maayos. sabihin mo lang sa mga auto supply na valve cover gasket for vanette, eksakto na ang ibibigay sayo regardless ng year model.

Did you relocate the condenser that is placed vertically (parallel to your radiator)?
I would also think that you placed a separate aux fan for it, right? If that is the case, then each condenser has its own fan. Plus, the clutch fan of the radiator....
Check if your radiator needs cleaning. Also, check if the clutch fan is slipping.
Lastly, your (mechanical) thermostat may now be 'defective' (not able to fully open)....

March 3rd, 2010 06:06 PM #207add ko lang din sa tips ni sir cvt, if you have your engine cooling system cleaned and good fan clutch pero tumataas pa rin temp mo on hot weather and stop&go traffic, you may install an auxillary fan in front of your radiator (space vacated by your relocated condenser) that is operated by thermo switch used for nissan. switch should be mounted beside the radiator cap to sense the coolant coming out from engine. the fan will be activated when your temp reaches half the gauge and deactivate until temp reaches 1/4 on the temp gauge. i have this configuration on my vanette. nakakatulong for preventing overtemp.

Great tip, bro. shauskie! Agree with you 100%.... (I myself will definitely consider this, if in the future, I will experience overheating....). As of this moment, I do not need this 3rd aux fan yet..... The clutch fan (and the cooling system in general) will definitely become inefficient overtime...

nabsa ko ung mga post nyo about sa diesel converted na nissan vanette, i have a question. Kapag ba nagpalit ka ng radiator ng vanette ilang rows ba dapat? ang stock ko po eh 2 rows pero tumataas temp nya lalu na pag on ung ac, pero habang tumatakbo or inaapakn ung silinyador namemaintain nya ung temp na di maxadong mataas. Meron po bang existing na radiator na 4 rows for vanette? parepareho po ba ang size ng radiator?
san po kayo nakabili sir ng filler cap at charcoal canister?
