Yup... i usually advise this to the N16 Sentra Grandeur owners... the MAF on some engine models can really be sensitive. Usually, try to clean it anywhere between 10K to 20K kms depending on the driving/dust conditions you encounter.

+1 ulit... ibang iba ang hatak and mapapasin mo yung difference sa acceleration... + when using the OD

boy, may plug and play na harness. you have to install the wiring harness if you want to upgrade to higher wattage bulbs to prevent damage to the original wirings.

nissan dealers told me about this one... much bigger engine daw than as of before...

muntik na nga kami humabol sa promo nung dec31 eh kung hindi lang nabangga yung van sa poste nung pasko... pumayag na sa trade yung nissan sa presyong gusto namin.. sayang...

the only engine that they could put in that would make me buy the facelifted patrol is the td42, it's not crdi so i guess they wont bring it in but im still hoping.... i doubt if they would bring in the 4.8 6cylinder gas engine.

i use 130W Narva bulbs and Narva wiring harness and changed the bulb sockets to ceramic type. bought these sa shop ni GlennSter.

kelangan ko na ba linisan un maf sensor ko? 28K mileage na akin.. hehehe

pero pang cruising lang talaga.. sluggish nadin un akin dahil sa bigat ng mags. hehe!

malaki ba improvement, approximately ilang percent increase ng brightness? how much approximately did the whole set cost(+ instalation) that time? any other good brands besides Narva(just in case walang available)? btw, i assume it doesn't matter if i have the same light sets as the new patrols, yong clear(don't know the term)...i still would need the bulb sockets changed to ceramic...right?

lens lang naman ang pinagkaiba ng new at old patrol. and kapag naglagay/palit ka ng wiring harness, kasama na dun yung new socket, plastic nga lang yung sa narva, kaya pinalitan ko ng ceramic type.

Managed to contact Wizzard and they suggested Osram All-Weather based on their experience...they said it's 100W/80W but light throw is better than the Hella, Bosch. Thanks!

yup, finally had it changed sa Wizzard. big improvement. i got the wizzard-suggested osram all-weather, mas maganda raw ito compared to hella. seems okay naman yong osram. can't wait to drive in the rain at night to see how it performs.

Guys with GU patrols, you definitely need to clean your MAF sensors. At 59k km odo reading currently, I just cleaned mine the other night using lots of contact cleaner spray. Lo and behold, tremendous improvement in engine response, acceleration, and top-end speed. Its like night and day! Before I cleaned it, sluggish talaga ng acceleration ng patrol namin and kahit sa skyway, 120kph lang maximum speed ko. I thought it was due to my 305/75 tires already. Pero after the cleaning, I can hit 160-170 with ease, even more. Acceleration is very good and responsive na. And to think that all this time we had to contend with poor performance for the last 4 months since we got it.

P1,200 daw ang cleaning ng MAF sensor sa casa. Tanong ko sana kung may kasama ng fullbody massage yong owner from their receptionist...di ko na tinuloy baka ano pa gawin sa Patrol ko pag iniwan ko dun

Now, if you can let me know where to get that contact cleaner spray(what brand is that?), and where is the MAF sensor and the step by step guide how to do it, then i'll be brave enough to try..

maraming contact cleaners sa mga Ace Hardware, Handyman or DIY.

yung MAF sensor is located along the air inlet duct. if you open the hood, halos katabi ng right end of the radiator. meron wires connected dito. just unplug the wire and use a hex wrench to unscrew the MAF sensor (2 hex screws). spray contact cleaner dun sa parang electrode sa loob, then shake mo ng konti to remove excess contact cleaner solution. magdry na yan agad in a few seconds. then put it back. tapos.

By the way, does anyone know kung saan ok magpa refit ng weather linings maliban sa casa? Sira na kasi yung mga rubber linings dun sa rear doors ko, as in marupok and napupulbos na.

beefcake, ilang years na ba patrol mo? yung sa akin matagal ng sira pero hindi pa naman nagpupulbos. medyo butas butas na yung upper part. pero yung sa gilid ng doors, ok pa naman.

speaking of rubber linings, mukhang madali lang naman i-DIY naman. yon nga lang, kelangan bumili ng linings. not sure kung meron sa banawe, otherwise sa casa talaga bibili.
