can i ask what year lumabas yung gu patrol with the crystalize headlights and rear tail lights......nakikta ko kasi 03 4x4 model with low mileage, mga 1.3m nalang, ver tempting....new look na ba yun 03model with bumper fog lights?

the 03 model you saw must be the president edition patrol, but this model still doesn't have the bumper integrated fog lamps. but it has fog lamps mounted on the bullbar.

the model with the integrated fog lamps came out in late 04, and is still the same model being sold today, albeit the current model have light sensitive headlamp control.

Anybody got any Workshop/Repair Manual for the Patrol GU(Y61)? I plan to get one but not sure which is better: Haynes or Gregorys?

Of course the best would be the factory ones, but they cost an arm and a leg.

mga sirs, inquire din ako: umiilaw engine warning ko everytime na umaabot ng 4000rpm ung tach, tapos humihina na ang hatak, after i turn off the engine nawawala tapos iilaw nanaman pag napapahataw ulit, MAF sensor kaya un sir, connected ba yun sa engine warning? san sir nagpapalinis ng MAF sensor? TIA.

yup, either madumi na ang MAF sensor mo or sira na. pwede mo i-DIY ang paglinis ng MAF sensor, just unscrew it by using a hex wrench and spray it with carb cleaner. kung ganyan pa rin, sira na yan. it costed my 8K+ 2-3yrs ago to replace my MAF sensor.

Hindi na siguro kung brand new kasi luma na, plus kita yung pagtaas ng price dahil lang sa tax. :D

If it matters that it is one of the last luxury vehicles with dual solid axles that you can still buy brand new, then it's worth it. Ang naaalala ko na lang na dual solid axles ngayon ay Jimny, LR Derfender, LC70, and other lower volume models.

If you will just use it as a car, there are lots of other alternatives.

worth it pa ba bumili ng patrol? my parents are planning to buy one. 2.3M

hindi na worth if you're buying brand new. apektado na kasi ang resale value ng mga current patrols dun sa mga first releases. ( 2.3M vs 1.6M) kaya kung dumating ang panahon na ibebenta nyo na ang patrol, malaki ang lugi nyo.

Guys with GU patrols, you definitely need to clean your MAF sensors. At 59k km odo reading currently, I just cleaned mine the other night using lots of contact cleaner spray. Lo and behold, tremendous improvement in engine response, acceleration, and top-end speed. Its like night and day! Before I cleaned it, sluggish talaga ng acceleration ng patrol namin and kahit sa skyway, 120kph lang maximum speed ko. I thought it was due to my 305/75 tires already. Pero after the cleaning, I can hit 160-170 with ease, even more. Acceleration is very good and responsive na. And to think that all this time we had to contend with poor performance for the last 4 months since we got it.

Yup... i usually advise this to the N16 Sentra Grandeur owners... the MAF on some engine models can really be sensitive. Usually, try to clean it anywhere between 10K to 20K kms depending on the driving/dust conditions you encounter.

Hey guys! Busted na yong isang (low-beam) bulb ng headlights ko and i'm planning to replace it asap. Question is, are there brighter bulbs than the stock(H4 ba yon?, don't know the wattage) that is just 'plug and play'? Yong sasalpak na lang na wala na kailangang electrical-related adjustments na gagawin? Kindly recommend a good one at kung saan available, i might as well replace the pair of headlight bulbs, kung meron mas maliwanag.

boy, may plug and play na harness. you have to install the wiring harness if you want to upgrade to higher wattage bulbs to prevent damage to the original wirings.

muntik na nga kami humabol sa promo nung dec31 eh kung hindi lang nabangga yung van sa poste nung pasko... pumayag na sa trade yung nissan sa presyong gusto namin.. sayang...
