    it is indicated on the engine cover (yellow sticker near the engine oil filler) that only mineral based oils can be used.

    Balik tayo sa tires. So kung mag upgrade ka to bigger tires, me mabibili bang spare tire cover para dun and wala bang magiging problems like masisira yung rear door dahil mas mabigat na ngayon ang nakasabit?

    there seems to be a lot of discussion on the benefit of blocking the EGR on the ZD3.0 lt engine in the aussie patrol 4x4 forums

    has anyone done it here? may benefit ba talaga? how do you do this?

    Based on the posts in the patrol4x4 forum, the benefits would be cooler turbo/engine temp, higher torque at low rpm, and less soothe in the intake manifold. But at the cost of having higher NOx emissions. Also, there seems to be some problems with a few of the ZD30 owners who blocked the EGR port. Some say that it interferes with the ECU.

    It is hard for us here to do this as an experiment since we don't have the proper gadgets attached to our engine like pressure gauges, etc. to monitor the engine. I think most of those who blocked their EGRs have all sorts of monitoring gizmos attached.

    What I think I should do after reading those posts is to take out my intake manifolds and get rid of those gunks.

    EGR blocking seems to be a popular mod, not only with the Nissan crowd but with other makes as well (e.g. Pajero on www.pocuk.com ). I haven't really taken time to study the modification in detail, though.

    Additional info:
    For the ZD30 Engine used in the Patrol GU:

    Oil Filter - Php 827.00
    Air Filter - Php 1,290.00
    Fuel Filter 1 - Php 1,292.00
    Fuel Filter 2 - Php 1,922.00

    [SIZE=3]gud day mga patrol gurus, mga sirs balak kong linisin yung intercooler ng patrol 2001 model. May napansin akong moist/leak ng langis sa ilalim ng intercooler. madali lang po bang buksan ito at maibabalik din ba agad gaya ng pag linis ng M.A.F. ? Or may kailangan pa akong repair kit nito at napakahirap nitong ibalik.?

    need help badly baka may sirain yung leak. thanks in advance

    I've never done it but I let Nissan Pasong Tamo do it (they call it 'intake manifold/turbo cleaning). It took them the whole day to remove the I/C and clean everything (I arrived at 7am).

    I knew they weren't clowning around because I never left the vehicle. I watched it from start to finish.

    No additional parts were required.

    Check your mechanical skills. I'm still not that confident to do it on my own.
