wow...biglang dumami ang mga new posters.
Let's just make it clear, the problem is uneven height. Not really a safety issue, but it just looks ugly cause it's slanted (but sometimes it's un-noticed).
Squeking sound, this can be fixed with a silencer that can be installed for free. (Read the other pickup threads, they experienced this as well).
Now, sadly or not, most of the new trucks are coming out from Plants in Thailand, could it be a quality issue? That is something we have to see in the future.
Most owner's are satisfied with their pickup, but as you all know, manufacturers cannot please everyone.
I suggest when you are ready to buy, take a look at different pick-ups, test drive them, look at every nity grity, then at the end of the day, decide which vehicle fits YOU.
Now, just thinking out loud, could it be that we have problem on suspension or steering because our units are left hand driven instead of Thailand base / UK base / Australia base that are right hand driven? What other countries have left hand driven Strada/L200/Triton? Do they have suspension or steering problem?
Maganda nga if meron tayo statistics to prove if talaga panget ang strada. I guess if given the time, i'll ask bonified members of the club what they have experienced sa truck nila. At least with that, meron tayo mga numbers to take a look at.

July 25th, 2008 12:24 AM #6625guys, i need your feedback.
i had my mind set on getting the 2008 mitsubishi strada gls 4x4 unit. however, after having heard about the problems you guys encountered with it, i am certainly having reservations now.
what i want to know is, which model has uneven height, noisy breaks, etc issues? with regards to the uneven height problem, is it that noticeable, or would an untrained eye not be aware of the problem?
i never had a car before, and this is the first time i was seriously contemplating buying one. basically, ung gamit ko lang naman nun is for city-driving from school to work. undeniably, it is the best-looking pick-up in the market right now, and the best deal considering 4x4 na siya with all those nifty features for just P1.09M.
so bottomline is, is it still worth buying? or should i consider taking a look at the isuzu 4x2 dmax? baka kasi sobrang magastos niya sa repairs. i just want a car that's reliable, and low maintenance. if mitubishi strada can't be it for me, then i guess i have no other choice but to consider isuzu dmax...
i would really appreciate ur opinion, both good and bad. thank you in advance

IMO, The strada is a very dependable and a great value for money, bang for your buck truck.
However, do not be misled of what you guys read here in the threads. It just happens na very open and frank ang mga posters dito sa Strada thread.
And I beleive the intention of making all observed problems known to everybody is to help others to avoid if not completely prevent these problems.

Welcome to the Strada thread, Man Kiw. Mine is a 2008 GLS Sport. The only problem I had encountered is noisy leaf springs. Casa knows about this problem so they're ordering silencer kits for my springs.
Regarding steering vibrations, personally I don't see it as a defect as I am not bothered with it. I have a Sorento and a Swift and I really cannot say that the Strada's steering is very much different from these two. Some say that the Strada is bumpy. Again, comparing it to my other two vehicles, I actually find the Strada's ride better than the Sorento and the handling is also better than the Sorento.

Very well said sir! I think all complaints here are answered and some problems are given solutions and you're right sir, maybe if we try another truck, it will fail our standards...
These problems have solutions, other also have problems. Some truck owners modify their truck and so i guess modifying or changing some parts to improve our ride, well maybe solve our little problems.

check it for urself kung talagang papalitin na brake shoe and lining. i doubt it sir. if urs is a manual transmission matagal yan, even with an automatic palagay ko it would last more than a year. as of my experience sa rav4 1st gen. 1 1/2 year ako bago nagpalit, its automatic and baler-baguio ang most na byahe non, and stayed in baguio for a long time, i had been using it since college days(those where the days, hehehe...) baguio pa yun sir ha, as in todo ang prenohan. kaya sir, watch out. might as well check it for yourself, o baka napakanipis lang talaga ng stock na brake shoe at lining.
about problems pa, very mild lang naman ito, warning sound dont know where its coming from, cguro its like parang sa prob ni sir siomai sa tpms. eto naman warning sound but theres nothing going on. palagay ko due to faulty wiring, coz nung nilabas namin unit theres no signal lights and hazard, agen due to faulty wiring bumigay ang fuse, buti naman nakita ung grounded. and already fix. sa warning sound 2x ko pa lang narinig during travel, baka daw tpms. observe ko daw muna further. as of now wala pa naman.
