one new strada called to ask about OME suspension for his new strada. Told him it still under development. asked him why he anted to change it, he answered that he busted his rear shocks, one month heavy use.

test drove one this afternoon, tried the suspension and I bottomed the fronts while speeding thru a hump. guess its too soft, but the ride is good.

ARB, mukhang totoo ata yun sabi ng topgear. The mag said, that the mitsu team said it was tuned to be an on-road pickup? if there's such as term hehehe. dont quote me guys

anyway... I got to check it out in ATC, they had a blue strada displayed. Interior is very nice! Its like a civic, steeply raked dashboard. Its roomy, alot of features like climate control, digital compass, ipod HU etc. Maliit lang yun bed nya, and the walls of the bed are not as tall as its competitors. I think the interior is the best of all, and roomiest esp the back seats, i think. Its even better than the new ranger na nasilip ko last weekend sa Ford. I think the strada serves the passenger more than hauling bec. of its great passenger features and interior amenities, but small bed. unlike that of the ranger, it has a long bed and great torque - perfect for hauling and for the adventurous. it has less room tho for rear passengers.

Kanya-kanyang niche ngayon ang manufacturers when it comes to pickups. There's the traditional workhorse dmax, the stylish strada, the big brute hilux, and the streamlined svelte 380nm monstrous ranger.

Wow, he must be one of the first to own a new Strada. At least a month old na unit niya.

the new L200(strada, triton) IMO, is the best looking Pick-up, inside and out, in the philippine market right now...congrats sa mga meron na...pero sa paglabas ng Ranger parang napa "esep-esep" ata ako. ibig ko kasing sabihin eh ang L200 ay parang pang porma ang dating, ang Ranger para talagang workhorse ang dating...mas malaki ang hauling capabilities ng Ranger mas torquier mas stronger,

    utilitarian vs. fashionista

When you get your unit, you can ask the accessories dealer for a carryboy brochure.
    Good Evening Drave,

Called up Carryboy yesterday to check on lid cover for new Strada and got the following info:
    > they've run out of their initial batches of covers for the new Strada. Next shipment expected in early December.
    > Estimated price of motorized (electric) sports lid is around P50K, motorized cover w/ rollbar around P63K and non-motorized with rollbar P58K. ( P5K lang and difference with electric motor! ).

    Some questions:
    > Can you manually lift / tilt open your electric lid cover from behind ?
    > Did you get yours at Carryboy in Banawe ? And how long did it take to install ?
    > Doesn't it rattle when it is fully opened to height of the cab ?
    > Did you bypass the ignition switch for the cover's operating switch ? ( Meaning you can operate the electric motor to open and close the lid even if the ignition is turned off )

Will really appreciate any additional info you can provide based on your actual experience to help me make a good purchase decision.

    THANKS A LOT !

Thumper! I haven't purchased it yet, but I have a friend who had it installed in his hi-lux. You manually open the rear portion and then the motor switch is right under the cover within easy reach. The exact cost at a dealer in Lipa City which is near us is 49.5K and they still have a few remaining stocks. Sorry, I can't answer your other questions.

    Cyrusblutrooper,

Yung ganun ba. Di naman ako fashonista. Versatility talaga ang habol ko.

    Thanks Drave !
Looks like I have to start saving for next month when the carryboy lid covers arrive. The bed cover will make the strada more complete - practical and provide security for any cargo. Christmas gift ko na lang sa sarili ko!
    Thanks again !

    Cyrusblutrooper,
Pre, taga San Pablo City ako. Alam mo naman tayong 'syano eh malapit sa atin ang 40-50 kms

    Thumper,
Maganda talaga yung lid at mukhang sturdy naman. Personally, ayoko yung may kasamang rollbars, parang masisira yung design nung pick-up. I'm still choosing between new mags and the lid, pero sa tingin ko mas practical yung lid. Baka after xmas pa ako bibili. New year's gift naman sa akin.
