The recent feedback about the tires and accessories are really helpful. I just had my 1K PMS. They charged me for 8 liters oil on my 2.5 glx. I looked at the manual, it states 6.5 + 0.8 or a total of 7.3. Pwede ba yung extra ihingi? Cebu Mitsubishi has suspended their service plus discount card starting Jan, 2010. And they only recognize Cebu issued service card. Consuelo, binigyan lang nila ako ng 10% discount but excluding on lubes. Yung 1k PMS ko came to 2,885.53. Oil costs 225 per liter, and the oil filter costs 1085.53 net.

2nd, the stock tires of the strada is set at 40 psi. Napatingin tuloy ako sa manual, and it states without load, 32 psi, 45 psi for the rear with load. I will adjust this back to 32, run the strada for another full tank to determine its fuel economy after break in and in the new tire pressure setting, before I will have the tires loaded with nitrogen. Anyone tried nitrogen in your strada? Our motorpool kasi has our own nitrogen loading machine.

3rd, the fender flares are officially priced at 22K at the casa's accessory shop, but the installer secretly told me pwede daw 13k, ibang brand (the staff were wearing carryboy shirts). Another store outside of the casa offered me 8.5K naman. Nasa Cebu kasi ako, although yung unit doon ko kay Xave binili.

    which makes me think..

inde kaya for the 2010 wala na yung tickiting sound sa 4m41?
kasi as far as I could remember even yung mga naka GLS sport na 2009 lahat sila meron nung tickiting sound...and for the 2010 naman I haven't had a chance pa to observe other members unit....hhhmmm check ko nga sa friday...
Sir LR, I am driving a 2010 Strada GL and I still hear tickings after a switch off the engine. This is also true for my 2007 Isuzu XUV

sir, i suggest you validate the service card discount by emailing MMPC if that is true they dont honor those cards. regarding the oil, i dont think it comes in individual 1 liter bottles, but it is, then dapat nga isoli ang hindi na gamit. As for me, you can also see if underinflated or overinflated ang tires, just check the hairs of the new tires to see if running fine siya. as for me..ill still with 28-32 psi.

regarding fender flares, just get it from outside, anyhow, wala naman drilling yun. they will just place it sa sides of the wheel well. no warranty would be affected.

try to also join the cebu meet in the future sir.

and it is true for most cars... expand and contract of metal parts, equals ticking sounds ( normal ).

some are just louder than others.

40psi-50psi tire pressure coming from the casa......does this mean they "intentionally" overinflate our tires excessively above the recommended tire pressure listed on our manual which is 32psi??? or their monitoring set is just different than what we have?

actually they really do overinflate the tires. validated again when i bought my other car. why they do this i really dont understand, but one reason is probably to lessen oblong on the tires while there are no buyers, 2nd is better fuel, but dapat before they release it they check it and use the right pressure. wala yata sa checklist nila ang tire pressure check.

I guess standard na sa kanila or SOP na ng CASA ang i-overinflate ang tires.....

I've tried Citimotors Alabang and AmCar Sta. Rosa laguna.....both have excessive tire pressure of 50psi and 40psi respectively.....

Maybe on my 15,000Km service...I'll just check it in-front of them before leaving.....

After reading your comments and suggestions...its now down to 35psi front and 32psi rear.....and it's been a less bumpy ride......

    thanks!!!

hehehe, yap yap the casa puts 40+ upto 50 PSI, due to the stock pressure, hehehe storage pressure, that is why before releasing a new mitsubishi vehicle it's the sales consultant or sales executive who reminds the customer, to change the tire pressure of the vehicle, although it's been check by sa quality control officer, it's better to be reminded :D

Yung sakin maraming katamarang ginawa yung casa. Dami akong backjobs. Pero so far ok back to its old glory na strada ko.
