hello to all members of strada club just want to solicit help from you guys. ano po ba difference ng gls and gls sport? makina lang po ba? pero yun sa interior eh parehas rin po? aside from this ano po ba ang smart choice to be? the 3.2 or 2.5? pakuha na po kc ako biglang nagulo ang mundo ko nung dumating ang 2010 mdel. please enlighten me. salamat po!!![]()
*Sir Dadz,
looking at the string of variants for the thai Triton, what sparked my interest is the Single Cab 4x4 3.2 A/T (boxed in red 3x). Have you seen this up close? test drove it? I'm sure kahit na automatic siya, acceleration will be out of this world with that being more lightweight!![]()

just saw this at Botchi's column for the website of Top Gear Phils.:
Hi! Good day!
My husband and I are planning to buy a car next year. Our choices are the Strada 2.5 GL 4x2 of Mitsubishi and the Hilux 2.5 4x2 of Toyota. We are still looking for some advice as to which car should we buy. We would be very grateful to hear from you. Please help.
Thank you and more power!
Edith
Hi, Edith,
Thanks for taking the time to write to Top Gear Philippines. We're always glad to help out people in their car-buying dilemma.
I love these two pickups, especially the top-model 4x4 automatic transmission variants. But with value-for-money factor entering the equation, this is a no-brainer situation!
The Mitsubishi Strada is the number one pickup in terms of overall sales (all variants) based on CAMPI reports. It's not hard to see why because:
1. It's far cheaper than the Hilux
2. The 2.5 engine of the Strada is much more powerful compared to the 2.5 of the Hilux but fuel consumption is comparable, averaging about 9km/liter in-city and some highway driving.
3. The added ride-height, comparable to the 4x4 variant is a welcome feature, giving you increased versatility and utility especially in floods, rough road and weather conditions
4. It has the tightest cornering radius in its class of 5.9 meters as compared to the Hilux which is 6.15 meters. This means that when making tight U-turns, the Strada will be able to do it in a breeze compared to the Hilux.
5. The Strada has the roomiest rear-seat accomodations in its class (I have the current Hilux myself, I speak from experience on this one) but the Hilux has slightly more comfortable and roomier front seats.
6. Although the Strada rides firmer, the Hilux is bouncier so long drives are less nauseous in a Strada than the Hilux but the Strada does wear you out.
7. The looks. Strada looks 10x better than a Hilux.
Hope this column helps you decide!
Good luck!

Bilib na talaga ako sa iyo. You are right in two things. First bilib ako dahil naalala mo pa na balak kong ipapaint na black ang door sash. Galing! Second, tama ka hanggang wish na lang ang desire kong makuha ang unit ko next week dahil according to Jessa, baka 2 weeks pa ang hintayin ko dahil sa choice of color ko na dark gray.
I finally saw the 2010 glx. I was disappointed in two things. Don't get me wrong may magagandang points din naman like the new fabric of the seats, steering wheel mounted audio control, and in my own opinion mas astig ang black color ng front foglamps over body colored bumper.
TSCP mini EB tomorrow night, Friday, September 18, 2009 8 pm at Metrowalk.
Hope to see you there! Planning session tayo for the Sagada Expedition and other upcoming club activities.
thank you po, sir...
Please don't fret po. The Wheel/Tire package is something that is always "upgradable" and can always be removed/replaced/changed. As for the current availability of units, the inventory per dealer is something we cannot get control of (wish ko lang). But knowing Jessa, based on what has been said about her, is doing her best. I'm pretty sure you can give her the benefit of the doubt despite the lenghtly time of waiting...
In the meantime, here is hoping you still get to have a good nights rest... hehehe...
