here's my take on that...
cheapness and practicality,go anywhere capability, and the best of all MACHO FACTOR
Cheapness- imagine spending almost 2 million pesos on a van? and its only practical for family use on weekends and only when your travelling with more than 7 people people on board which may only happens ones or twice a month right? it would really be unpractical to use it everyday considering the driving hassle and the feeling na "umaalog ka sa loob" when your aloneand with that price you could already bought youself another car besides your pickup which I think is much more practical rather than buying a single purpose van
unlike for our pickups you could always use it any day of the week either go to the office or pickup the kids in school without having to wory much about being a "malaking bulas on the road" or perhaps offroad weekends with the club that rocks, But one things for sure, all activities with this truck includes total driving pleasure
....BUT unless you have at least 6 members in the family, a van could have been more practical....
Go anywhere- whether it would be roughroad, on road, or no road at all just name it with our pick up truck we can go anywhere...unlike the vans nowadays the trend has been making the ground clearance low and low, look at the starex and hiace its almost as low as the regular AUV's if not lower. unless your getting the JDM converts which has the 4WD option which really has a very high ground clearance that is..
MAChO FACTOR- I think I don't need to explain this anymore right Bosb's?

Madali lang yan sir no need to defense basta get a pick up truck, then drive in to a van or to your friend hehehehehehehehehe.............
joke lang for me safety is one of the most important thing compare a van safety and a pick-up light truck there is a big diffrence in there a very big one plus i dont also haul any thing i use my truck as a daily driver, a dependable partner and also a hobby partner no van can equal that.
only a pick up can carry my scuba diving crate, dual gun bag for my airsoft stuff, golf clubs, voluminous case folders of my clients, stroller and car seat of my infant child... simultaneously at the same time! hehehe
and not just any pick up... Strada is my choice to suit my lifestyle!
(ayos ba? hehehe... parang commercial yata ah!)
*ThePatriarch, in cases wherein the child seat is not being used and you need to haul 4 more adults, can that be stored at the back unobstructed with the lid closed?
*LR777, well said, sir.
*nanofossil, lets put it this way... The Strada GLX is pegged at around P9**,*** which is similarly priced to a regular Compact sedan to the likes of the Corolla Altis, Civic and even the Lancer EX! The Strada is a very good alternative to the mainstream lineup that gives you more space at the back (be it Open, Lid or Canopy), more pulling power as well as Better Fuel Economy. Based on your posts, you may not have the intention of hauling a lot of people. Therefore it may seem that the car that is destined for you is something that you didn't know it would be...
Love moves in mysterious ways... is similar to your instincts of deciding what car to get is moving in mysterious ways, too...
ah basta... simply follow your heart...I hope that you would consider that it is unique for a pick-up truck to have a CLUB THAT ROCKS which i must say... is phenomenal!

Sa province maraming pickup owners at ganoon din sa Manila.
Maganda sa Strada GL at GLX aside sa looks nya ay yung ground clearance nya!![]()
Very well said, for me the most important factor is the safety and comfort of my family. I was originally planning on getting the gl variant but what made me switch to glx was the fact that it has dual airbags. Second ang Fuel Efficiency and Third na lang ang porma. Our family business takes me almost every month to Bulacan and Pampangga and I believe that a pickup will be the best vehicle for that. I have always been a sedan-type of guy and sawa na ako sa kakaiwas sa mga lubak sa kalsada.
siguro naman wala kanang pag-aalinlangan tungkol sa Strada sir nano with all the comments and jokes you read from these people (BOSBs) sure hindi ka magsisi once you have this new Strada pramis he he he:hooray:pero huwag mong kalimutan sumali Strada Club para lalong masaya![]()
hehehe mauusog ba sir?di naman siguro hehe ok lang po yun...as what you said nga po diba gusto nyo makita yung back cabin?
so feel free to come by we would be very much happy to show you.
