I love the audio remote. Meron na kaya nito sa winterpine? How much all in? My GLS Sports has the JVC so I assume remote na lang ang ipapakabit ko?

My SA said wala akong remote control and it's hard selecting tunes from USB. Ang liit ng buttons. This feature will solve it.

The lid is cool, nice feature. Definitely different. I still prefer the open cargo bed though. But I don't mind having one. That's if I have another Strada.

it depends if the dealer can get it for you. i think winterpine is providing the audio remote as well as the head unit... but we have to take note that this is for the JVC (GLS Sport and GLS). considering that you have the you have the Alpine model (GLX), it may be different. i presume you still have the stock head unit, do you?

*silverend, its all up to MMPC if they will get the facelifted unit for us. take note, as of now, i havent seen any other country with the facelifted design yet. in addition to that, part of the model lineup of thailand only has the facelift- namely the Triton PLUS 4x2s. ---IMO---

yup still with the orig head unit. hmm yup thanks for the input havent thought of it na iba kami ng head unit sa higher models.

DonT, thanks for the input! I'm with you on that one. PDR na lang siguro

As for the new features, well, i have a different take on it. I find the audio controls a bit awkward. Parang di sya "thumb"friendly. Of course, I can't conclude with conviction as i haven't seen it in person. I do agree with the controls on the HU. too flimsy. even the volume control lacks heft and is too small. pero the USB still can't be beat.

The dual lid is ok although i prefer the clean lines of the carryboy sportlid be it in manual or motorized form. the upside to the dual lid is that since it's casa installed there's a higher chance that the execution is cleaner than if you'd have carryboy install it. Wala yung aftermarket feel. Yung sport lid ko medyo meron na mga gasgas at yung paint medyo lacking in luster at the time of installation. of course, i can't complain. it is aftermarket and overall satisfaction with the whole experience is still positive.

The wheels, well, I have the 3.2 version na naka 17" na. pero in some angles, medyo bitin pa rin.

Sorry to hear your experience with your carryboy sports lid. Actually, the limited edition/special edition is just accessories added to the already great gls sports version. That lid was out last year April at the World Trade Center auto show, but it's just now that carryboy brought it to the Philippines. That lid you see in the brochure is installed and provided by carryboy Philippines. They will actually or they have started selling that as well as the new lids they have for the Strada/triton line-up. Mr Jun president of Carryboy was nice enough to show me his add in C-Magazine that features his line-up of new lids/roll bars. For the new lids, please visit their showroom. He also has the fullbox lid installed in his White Strada. I agree that the size of the tires made the gls sports look weak, but you can always solve this by buying the size tires you want, anyhow, the standard is still HT, so better to upgrade to AT if your really an off-the road owner. IMO.

    To all those who knows,

I just bought a new Strada GLX 2 weeks ago, can I replace the stock tire (205/80 r 16) by a much wider tire (265 or 255/70 r 16)? Im worried about the rim size (16 x 6 ) if it can handle the new tire...Im not planning to change the rim.

    Thnx

I suggest that if you plan to upgrade to 265, better get at least 16 x 7. So ipon na lang muna, para sabay na upgrade ng wheels & tires.

    Thanks for the advise.

How bout 255 /70 r 16? Is this possible? Sorry coz Im out of the country right now and my wife is dealing with all this stuff...he he he...the upgrade of rims? im planning to buy it here and send it back home. I think the stock tire is much better to trade-off now than later for a better cost.

If I replaced it with a 255 or 245, whats the possible effect?

    Thnaks again

    Sir mas ok kung 265 rim 16 x 7 or 16 x7.5
your GLX will looks like GLS
sa handling naman, so far wala namang complaint sa mga GLX owner dito.
Mostly, Strada members here uses AT tires for better grip..

245/70R/16 pwede sya.. but 2 of the strada member install 265/70r/16 on stock GLX mags.. actually i compare the mags of GLS 2006 (16in) and the existing mags of GLX apple to apple i dont see any difference on the size.

Thanks for all the inputs. i should better replace my mags then.

Anyway, the pic here is the Triton - Exceed produced for Indonesian market. The breed of pick-ups here differs in some aspect compared to ours. They dont have a 4x2 here.

Notice the front grill and nudge? I think we dont have this one in the Phils. I bought a set here and I shipped it already yesterday to Manila. If you guys want these add ons just PM me and Ill shipped it to you. Its all original Mitsu (not so expensive)....

    Till then.

Question lang peeps. On you driver side windshield there's a DENR sticker. Mine states GLS December 7, 2007.

Which led me to my next question: Dumating siya ng Dec. 2k7, but I got the unit Dec. 2k8, so it's been here for a year? So all the excuse na walang stock are all lies, I suppose.

Next, why indicate on the sticker GLS? It's should be GLS Sports. Unless 3.2 owners here have the same label.

    That's all.

sir Idoy, baka naman yung DENR sticker ay yung production date lang. pero much later na dumating. Afaik, yung difference ng GLS sa GLS Sports ay mga accessories na kasama sa strada when you get it. Tama ba mga sirs?

so what do you guys of swapping rims from the 3.2 gls sport with the montero sport? if i read the specs correctly, the montero rides on 265/65 r17 17x17.5 alloys. the strada, on 245/65 r17 17x7 alloys.

wondering how it would look on our pickup and if it would fit
