my bad!!!!!!!!!!!!
but still the thing here is that the front diffrentials sometimes have a bad tendency of locking up, be they manual or shift-on-the-fly. usually you'd notice this with a noisier engine, heavy steering, bigger turning radius and a whole lot more that you wouldn't normally feel when the lock is disengaged. this happened to my dads montero and suburban.....same culprit....but easy to fix

i also forgot!!!! sorry!!!!
shifting the transfer case shifter( the smaller shift lever) from 2h to 4h or to 4l will lock the free wheel auto locker (or release it if you go 4l to 4h to 2h)

February 26th, 2008 10:51 PM #3984Sir Arvin,
Thanks for the ideas at least medyo armed ako ng info pag next na kausapin ko yung SA. Yung differential nga ang unang binaggit sa akin, ang next na sinabi ko eh bakit nga paminsan minsan lang. Then suspension daw pero ti-nighten na after the 1000k checkup (this all occured in one day by the way). They test-drove it right after and parang wala na raw. After they released the unit to me, on the way back home I heard the sound again. Nag U-turn agad ako balik sa casa para ma-repair kaagad.
Regarding the freewheel lock I'll mention it na rin, you never know if the conversation can lead to a plausible solution.
Sir Av8or,
Thanks for the warm welcome I've been a long time reader of tsikot for years na I make it a point to read every page when buying a new car. Saka enjoy talaga basahin yung mga posts. I've test driven my unit with the SA on board and the sound has been confirmed. They also test drove it after I left my unit and re-confirmed the sound as well. The last I was told was that it was "normal". That's why I wanted to know here kung normal nga. Kasi I trust the owners more siyempre.
Miss ko na nga yung Strada ko, sarap talaga I-drive heh.
Any more ideas would be much appreciated. thanks!

matagal na ginagawa sa atin yan kaso ang weapon of choice is a nissan safari. mga security agency ang usual na gumagamit. minsan bullet proof pa. i think sa lucena yata ang gawaan but i'm not sure. kasi nung nagtrek kami ng land cruiser club back in 2002 may isang naka ganito na sobrang mas maganda...pang security agency niya. you'll see them around mandaluyong...puti or itim.

Php950 here in mandaluyong tapos sa pera mo na yun, sure ka na maayos ang trabaho. why? kasi pinapadala nila mismo sa factory ng rota for acrylic or powder coating, depends on the top layer. waiting time nga lang is a variable. pa-paint mo ng black yung ralliart. black on black! i saw a pajero with the fieldmaster rims on black tapos black rin siya! unique yet kaayaaya naman sa mata!

It seems may 2 new black stradas dito sa grupo! Sana you can join the EBs para di na ako solo na black

A very bad Turbo lag???? aggravated by the break-in period perhaps. At what rpm band do you hear this sound? lower than 2500rpm?
pwede mong i-record bro yung sound para marinig namin?
I'm pretty sure this sound is not due to the 4x4 feature of the Strada.
This has something to do with the engine, fuel line, and the manner of supplying fuel to the engine perhaps. Kasi sabi mo there is no sound during high speeds and driving on incline. During these two driving conditions, you are usually running at least 2800rpm to 4000rpm.
