New Mitsubishi Strada [ARCHIVED]

Thanks for the welcome, guys.

It took me quite some time to choose my next ride. I was actually going to go for the Isuzu Global D-Max (I even posted a couple of times in the Tsikot thread for that vehicle), then I stumbled across the Euro NCAP results for this year's Strada, Navara, and D-Max (in this thread). Medyo natakot ako sa low scores ng D-Max at Navara.

The last nail to the coffin was the fact that price-wise, I felt Mitsubishi had a better feature/spec package for their pick-up compared to the other brands. Kahit top of the line model nilang GLS Sport, mas sulit ang value compared to the others.

I'm even learning the quirks of my future vehicle without having it pa, thanks to this forum. I'll make sure to have the leaf springs outfitted with those silencers before I take it back to Bohol with me.

I'm buying sa main branch ng Fast Autoworld sa Cebu. Yeah, I know meron silang branch sa Tagbilaran city, but I want to shop around for accessories in Cebu kasi mas malaki ang selection at mas mababa ang mga presyo. Plus, sobrang hawt yung sales executive nila sa main branch, si Mae.

JJCarEnthusiast, I love that thingy that Triton Panther has on its back... overider pala ang tawag niyan. I wonder if merong binebentang ganyan dito sa atin. I want!

GL is the base model while the GLX variant is the 'loaded' version of the 4x2. steel rims ang GL while alloy mags na ang sa GLX. may bed liner na ang GLX and chrome na ang door handles and side mirrors. GLX also has the bumper and the stepboard, to name a few differences between the two models.

Im selling my GLX stock rims and tires, barely 4 months used less than 3k kms ang tinakbo, wala gasgas and almost new... PM me if you are interested

sir afaik GL strada is the base model of strada and it has low profile rims, black door handle and side mirror. while the 2.5GLX, if i remembered right still looks like the GLS only the 4x4 stripped off.. pero di po ako sure.. hehe

Im seriously considering a strada kasi. Kaso my budget is limited at 800k lang. So im trying to check out the GL model. What do you guys think?

sir, meron picture yan that opens up. it opens 45 degrees. ganda tlga ng setup yan. so what you can do is get the black unit and try to dress it up like that.

two of our club members own GL. thepatriarch mentioned the differenced between GL and GLX. You will still make the right decision on GL and dress it up your own way (stepboard, rear bumper, bed liner, chrome, alarm). I am not sure though if GL comes with passenger airbag or not, so that's one safety feature you also have to consider. with the regular discount mitsu dealers are giving, GLX is only P888K.

If you are planning to dress up the GL, better get the GLX pre, ganun din aabutin financially, my opinion only. GL or GLX it still a Strada, its still pogi pre.
