Hi Guys,

Has anybody here tried getting a tailgate cladding painted and finished similar to the silver(?) portion of the front bumper (below the lower grille)? I have a Gemstone Gray Monty and I was wondering if it would look nice 'coz if it does, then I may consider doing this as well.

I'm also still undecided on whether to go with the casa for my OEM spoiler (for quality/warranty reasons) and if I should go with the suggestion of getting it from a shop. Is Winterpine the ones making the OEM spoiler for Mitsubishi? I think it should be cheaper from them.

as i understand the tailgate cladding was the one add on to the rear tailgate, that have 2 design, check the ntyce car picture,that is from atoy,but design by ntyce,the casa one from thailand.

As for rear bumper garnish, i not so sure too....maybe ntyce are the best person to answer you, please PM him....

*Rho1d...if you want spoiler from winterpine it cost 6.5k it looks sporty with light but if you want OEM it cost 12k sa casa

this was done by the shop who did the painting of the front chin, rear bumper and tailgate cladding. any paint shop can do this and can even be diy'd. actually we were about to destroy the grille's fin in order to attach the honey comb mesh but the shop showed me an alternative before we tear the grille apart. it seems that i like this but anytime i can have this done same as the aftermarket grille.

you're right sir weng2, that was what i was telling to some of the mscp members who were checkin on my tailgate cladding during an EB last august.. the MMPC tailgate cladding was different compared to the thai version to accomodate the SE badge..

If i may add based from my so called field trips. There are two types of oem tail gate cladding available. The one pictured above (posted by jp) is the local oem cladding, while the one with a uniform slope weng2 is describing is the oem from thailand. A big difference between the two awaits.

So here it is, the first tailgate cladding (local oem) is installed using strips of 3m double adhesive. While the one from thailand, aside from double adhesives, i found clips included in it at its back. 16-18 clips if im not mistaken. 8-9 on the upper portion and the same at the lower. Whats surprising is that as i was trying to test fit it. It seems that these clips are very much protruding. I confirmed with the installer (casa) how will it be executed, and was told that they will drill holes to accomodate the clips. One thing weird was that parts where the holes will be drilled are semi solid steel plates or the tailgate (reinforcement). So it will definitely take precision and accuracy in installing this. Plus if you get sawa with it. Your tailgate will be left whith multiple drilled holes. Which for me is okay but a definite no no.

Anyway fyi the 5 seater se that is available in the case is already equipped with the thailand oem cladding as a stock accesory.

Whew...thank you very much Sir JPG111 for the clarification and the effort on the illustration! No wonder I can't seem to find the cladding in any photo 'coz it really blends well with the tailgate. If you didn't clarify I would have ended up ordering a silver tailgate cladding for my gray monty...and that would be like wearing briefs on top of my pants!

So the 5 seater monty with sunroof is also an SE 3.2 model? if it is equipped with the thailand oem cladding as a stock accesory where did they position the SE badge? Under the GLS or beside the GLS?
