    thanks

i speak for myself, i'd prefer the montero over the sta fe for the following reasons.

    1. montero is a real suv with solid axles and superselect mechanical 4wd system, it is tough, unlike the sta fe where in it has IFS set up, so it drives like a car but not as tough as the solid axle set up.

    2. 3.2did engine, reliable powerful engine.

    3. resale value, i am sure 4 to 5 years down the road, you would be able to sell the montero at a much higher value than a sta fe of the same year.

these are just some of the things that i see the montero has an advantage over the sta fe, but if you will only be using the sta fe for city driving with family, sta fe might have an edge in riding comfort.

try to inquire at any dealer, i'm sure meron sila nyan or have it checked on your next PMS -baka i libre pa yan. for the mean time you can put some kind of a hard rubber or maybe any rubber sole use on our daily tsinelas.

Does the 4x2 have speed sensing locks?

And for 4x2 owners what kind of fuel consumption do you get and what brand of fuel do you use?

I encountered that problem also last month. My steering mounted remote, however, was just sort of stubborn. Sometimes it works, sometimes it really doesn't. The people in the casa just replaced the battery and there it goes. Nevertheless, if the problem is in the unit(remote) itself, they can always replace that through winterpine. They get those remotes from winterpine. HTH.

what my installer did was use a windshield adhesive (bought only ''tinge'' from a glass installer) on top of the 3M adhesive tape. he was afraid that the 3M would not last long. but atoy only used 3M adhesive so that should be enough to hold the weight of the cladding.

Basta sa ngayon in ang montero and the ride is okay. Baka yung nagbebenta nang second hand wala pang one year na nagagamit at balak nyang palitan at bumili nang montero.

No speed sensing lock ang alarm na nakainstall. Ignition on lock lang kapag all doors are closed.

Fuel consumption ko 8.44km/L average city driving sometimes speed at only 20 to 40km per hour only dahil palaging basa kalye bagong undercoat ako at hindi pa tuyo. 600km pa lang natatakbo nang montero ko. Sometimes naka idle engine ko for almost 1 hour for a long wait for my wife.

City driving * 20 to 40 km/h with a fc of 8.44km/l not bad sana yung akin ganon din. Uncompute ko nasa 6.5 siguro ako 10 to 30 km/h lang dahil puro nasa small streets lang takbo ko.

San ka nag pa undercoat? anu klaseng undercoat pinagawa mo? how much
    did it cost you? HTH
