Just to add for future reference, based from my "weekend field trip" Diamond Motors in c5 and Citimotors pasong tamo has different prices for each particular part/accessory. To sum it up, Union, Diamond, Citimotors have different price packages for their products.

I forgot the list of items and particular branch/casa to purchase your stuffs from in order to get a better deal.

In short if you dont mind the travel, if you want to save up maybe a few thousands you go to this 3 spots and get a specific item thats cheaper than those of the other two spots. Or i guess you can just go to gold rich for a packaged price. Im not totally sure though if what they have is genuine oem or just oem copy. Please enlighten should i be wrong about this.

Hi Sir, Goldrich and Goldcars is a direct importer from Thailand. They are even ahead than Winterpine. I guess if Winterpine releases all those, what will happen to the ones available at the Casa?

the good thing is that Goldrich and other accessories shops are around when it comes to our MOnty needs, we just have to lay some patience in waiting and pricing

sir ian..yup, that is the standard key that have been issued. then, the 4x2 models are really not equipped with engine immobilizer. MMPC customer service should be notified, since 3 personnel from them, already confirmed that all models are equipped.

*djin_xxx, i remember you have tried using a duplicate key. were you able to start the engine and run the car? tia

sir, djin_ please provide picture of your original key and the spare key. When did buy your MS 4x2 A/T? Does your keys had a Mitsu logo? (original with chrome MS logo). TIA

Can the new Montero Sport mount a tow hitch? I've asked the sales people in Mitsubishi but they cant seem to answer that simple question. I need a tow hitch to mount a bike rack. Other midsized suv's like the pajero, the everest, he fortuner seem to have this ability as well as the strada pickup. this may be the deciding factor on whether to buy this model!

If I remember it correctly, I think the short answer is YES, and what I read in the manual are instructions on how to attach one. I'll have another look at the manual tonight sir, and come back to you with an answer.

As far as i know the accesorry in goldrich comes in a package and in that package i only need 2 of it. So im thinking na baka sayang. Anyway thank you for your inputs bro. Appreciate it.

All monty has no immobilizer that is connected to the key. It has immobilizer but not connected to the key..

Here is the key with imobilizer (left side or right hand). the other is just spare key and without imobilizer just like what we have...

guys if Im not mistaken the immbolizer code is in the alarm switch and not inside of the key, I tried it once in our strada gls sport, i remove the switch alarm and start the pick up and suddenly it doesnt start and it alarms. So the immobilizer is the switch alarm not in inside the key, Correct me if im wrong

the switch alarm im referring is the one together with the key.

I am also planning to have a mix of acc in my ride... oem rear spoiler and atoy/ntyce's rear garnish. if you have the same mix, maybe we can go together and try to bargain for a better discount. pls PM NTYcE, he will help us get a good price if he can get 5-6 orders for the rear garnish...

Thank you for sharing sir. It's good they gave a breakdown and not just, pay 72k then here is what you get. The pricing seems about right. If the parts are bought individually, they will be cheaper, but that does not include paint and installation. If you factor those in, it will be close to 72k, give or take two or three thousand. I think my aunt would be ok with that, pricing-wise, not sure if she likes all the add ons though. Thanks again.

compare their stock rear door cladding vs our oem cladding.

That's a good find.

I really like the back of this Montero. The combination of the spoiler and the cladding is really nice.



From the brochure of the Montero Sport accessories I got here, the cladding does seem different. I like the cladding on the picture more though. It "meets" the rear door better than the cladding I see on the brochure which tends to "curve up" a little bit before the flush to the rear door. Not sure how it really looks like though, I'm only observing purely based on the picture and the brochure. Is the cladding on the picture available here?
