Side mirror protector with side mirror etching makes a good deterrent. Not foolproof but if there are easier targets in the area for the thief, why bother with your unit?

    hi!

i too became sick of the OEM wiper judders... i replaced them with a pair of bosch aerotwins. got the pair for 1600 at ACE hardware. after trying out three different sizes, i opted for 24" and 18" and they fit great, much better than the stock sizes in my opinion. maybe size 26" and 20" would also fit but i haven't tried those.

those aerotwins work real smooth and with much less noise...

as for the water beading and cleaner wiping, i just use car wax on my windshield. works wonders for me.

About the sound it makes, you will really appreciate it because of it's fine fart!! compared to when i still had the orig end of the exhaustpipe.. since our MS has the silencer underneath, the exhaust installed still has it's own silencer, so no "trompa" sound at all.. And the vibration, i think it's pretty normal for a diesel engine but with the way it was installed, it somewhat minimises the wiggle. they replaced the rubber with a "sapatilya" to connect the thick wrap around brace. i dunno what's it called in english hehe..

oopss it's not an SE hehe.. 4x2 only. i had it painted.

I'll try to get to the mini-EB this friday sir Mic. and might be the first Red to join the EB?.
    cheers!!
Ayun! WALL-E! i was thinking the whole day about it! Please do come, u will be the first sedona red attendee

mukhang ok naman sila dun. They pulled some strings to give me a unit and they didn't ask for anything (extra) in return. God bless their heart.

I also got a free window visor set plus 3M tint. Pero, babalik ko pa unit for the installation. Gusto ko lang mailabas unit nung 7/27 for sentimental reasons. Also got a Plate number ending with 727. (additional P1500 for LTO).

btw, I'm biased for silver. I have a silver Landcruiser LC100 V8 and a silver BMW 323i. Color never fades.

*XTO, thanks for the welcome guys. I'm sure I'll enjoy the new montero. Kaya lang can't help to compare it with the ride of the Landcruiser. But i'm happy with it.

    *jackuki and pinoydiscus,

i had my own share of ordeal before I got mine. Actually, I started with a 4x2unit and willing to pay cash pero tagal maghintay. So I bit the bullet for inhouse financing in spite of ridiculous interest rates and chattel mortgage. I waited again and then the SA informed me to get the 24mos to pay scheme instead of the previously agreed 12mos or 18mos scheme.

Tagal maghintay! I've used up most of my friendly resources looking for an available unit. Every day that passed seemed one month! Finally, mayroon daw available na 4x4 SE. Akala ko drawing din kaya I gave it a GO. Natuloy naman, praise God! But I had to pay almost P300k difference from my previous budget.

Good thing walang package na P70k accesories. What I was offered with was a P160k limited edition package, 22'mags and tires and 2 headrest monitors.

I'm happy with what I have. Hopefully you get yours in time. Mitsubishi is playing the game. Less supply, greater demand. Decide wisely. You won't regret owning a Montero today.

sir toro, dunno if goldrich had them on white from their supplier. they asked me what shade of white i want as they have 2 variants, pearl white and plain white. i chose the pearl white assuming that is the equivalent of the savannah white. luckily the color perfectly match my monty.

2.85% (48 months at 16,536 baht/month, 2.85% per annum)
    ผ่อน 60 งวด งวดละ 13,627 บาทดอกเบี้ย 2.95%

Yup yun nga ang difference ng OEM & ATOY cladding thats why mikko's GLS SE emblem is already sticked on the cladding itself.. On your case you can put a decent LE emblem under your GLS ..No choice but to remove the DI-D & Commonrail emblem then put it on your side fender, under the corner lights if you want

even Bangkok buyer facing the problem too.....
Buying from provincial dealers is the best alternative. At least, here in pangasinan. the dealer here does not force the buyers to buy the accessories for the monty. i'm having trouble ordering the accessories from them myself. ha ha ha.

*fermontalban...i don't think rain away (alone) will remove the rattling sound. I believe that it is really a defect on the the cheap stock wiper. Rain away will help you use less your wiper or reduce the intermittent setting.

*djin_xxx...try getting a branded wiper like bosch. if you like the stock wiper design, bosch has that as well, much much cheaper than the banana type. try filling your windshield washer reservoir with a windshield washer fluid. not sure with the brand but it is made by shark phils (the one who supplies aftermarket stepboards, roof caddy, dashboard cover etc) and it is available from hardware shops. dilute it 50:50 as it is quite expensive (i think about P300). Never pour deep-well hardwater on it as it contains some minerals which may accumulate residues later.

Do's and Don't nga pala sa wiper. Never cut the wiper rubber blade just to make it fit. it has a thin layer of steel wire, which could damage your windshield, if not cut smoothly.

if you will replace the rubber, replace the whole wiper. cost difference is not that much, i think. sometimes the pressure towards windshield weakens and that may be the cause of poor wiping job.

Thanks Sir will try the Bosch brand banana type.

compliments on the quality of the paintjob sir! it matches the shine of the body color. looks very oem!
