Two days ago, i discover my car TPMS light up no5, and it alway on.., normally when i start engine, TPMS with light up on wheel by wheel, after Safe wording come up, than TPMS light will go off... but this time no5 keep light on...
I went to Diamond Quezon Ave this morning, but they told me winterpine are the one who handle this TPMS, so i when to Winterpine, since it nearby.
The technician from winterpine told me the signal of TPMS lost, need to re calibrate it...
Below it the procedure how they do it :
you need two guy, one inside the car watching the TPMS, another outside..
1. First you need to press the button beside the TPMS, turn the key switch to on, you will see the TPMS light blinking on first tyre, release the button, ask the guy outside release the air pressure for first tyre, keep release the pressure till the TPMS have the pee sound, stop the pressure release, that mean the first tyre was calibrated.
2. TPMS will light up second tyre, release the seond tyre pressure till the TPMS have the pee sound, and proceed to 3, 4 and spare tyre...
3. Important note, do not press or touch the button beside the TPMS during the release tyre pressure, it will upset the calibration..
4. After all the tyre been calibrated, the TPMS will go back to normal, it will start again to check all the tyre pressure and tempreture, ( for my car, the tyre presssure after the calibration left 22 PSI) just top up the pressure as you like, then everything was done.
Hope this can help some of our friends settle this problem, don't need drive all the way to again... but i dont know this will void the warranty of TPMS ????
As understand from Diamond Quezon, i the second Montero have this problem....
