Sir Zix888/ Montero Sport owners,
I have been following your posts since Dec of last year. Your input has always been valuable to beginners like me. I am set to have my 10k PMS and i don't know what engine oil to use. I read one of your post regarding Royal Purple max. How much is it and where to buy? Aside from that, is there any other oil that is economical and yet efficient? Should i use Fully Synthetic or just the regular?
Also, my Montero's recent jerking worsen and i think i need to have it rectified by Diamond Greenhills. Can you share what things they need to clean or change to ensure that my unit can go back to its pristine condition?
Looking forward to hearing your input.
Thank you!

1000KM checkup at Diamond Motors kanina, for my MS GLX non-VGT AT
7 liters (daw) of turbo xp
5,300+ petot
Pagtyagaan ko muna ang bulok na oil sa mitsu, perhaps until 10,000KM at almost sure na ako na walang factory defect.
1,000 KM service done at Citimotors LP. They allowed me to bring my own oil. Mobil Delvac Mx, 7 liters. May surcharge nga lang na 10% nang oil nila (P170). Aside from the oil, total cost of service at P1,545.00. For the OEM filter and gasket may 10% discount pa.
Bale yung breakdown is:
Flush P399.00
10% Surcharge P170
Oil Filter P1042
Oil Plug gasket P42
Wala na naman ibang chinarge (Varsol, rags, car wash), so I guess okay naman. Would rather pay the surcharge, at least alam kong oil ko yung nilagay. Pumayag din sila silipin ko habang nilalagay yung oil, accompanied by the SA. 9AM pinasok, 1130AM nakalabas.
Just had my 30,000 KMS PMS at Diamond Quezon Avenue. Unit is 2010 Montero Sport GLS 4x2 A/T non-VGT.
Here's the breakdown:
7liters Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck Fully Synthetic (Cash&Carry) at 440/liter = P3,080
Baldwin BD28 oil filter (Volmax) = P765
Gear Oil EP90 (Casa) = P546
Engine Flush = P320.49
Battery Solution = P35.75
Varsol = P95.54
Car Care Kit = P280
Rags = P23.99
Sandpaper = P20
Change Differential Oil = P465
Labour = P3,283
Total = P8,914.77
Arrived there at 7am. Finished at 2pm. Pina check ko ung kumakalampag sa steering, steering column pala and pinalitan nila agad free of charge because covered pa ng warranty, no questions asked.
I notice that a lot have their oil and filter changed at the case while on a PMS.
As for me, I have these changed at a gas station then proceed to the casa for the PMS minus this service.
I believe I can save on cost this way recognizing that the casa charges higher on oil & parts.
Wala naman tutol ang casa dito in my experience. I've done this in my past 5k and 10k PMS as with my other cars.
As well, I even have a free choice of the kind of oil used in my MS (and filter, if there is any other better alternative than the OEM).
Is there anything wrong with this practice?
Hello guys ask ko lang saan ko ba pde pagawa yung ms ko d gumagana yung pag adjust ng side mirror pero gumagana naman yung auto retract..bukod sa casa saan ko kaya sya pde pa check...
