i agree sir i think it's going to be useless to insist because of their "threat" about the warranty etc hehe. will definitely try their turbo xp and observe the performance. then will start from there if i will stick or shift to other fully syn. thanks
yes leonleon, i called again earlier and confirmed esp the oil filter price at 928. it's DCT Holding, Corp - 1150 EDSA cor Oliveros Drive tel 220-8901-05. look for Allan Soleta or Jeff. mukhang okay sila dito sir, balitaan mo kami if ever. paiba iba kasi talaga mga dialogue ng mga service advisor ng bawat dealer
btw nasa dealer's list sila ng metro manila.

XTO, I-correct ko lang yung number nila, it's 3308901 to 05. Medyo mahirap sila kontakin kasi ring lang ng ring, but I eventually got through.
The good news is the price of the oil filter went down pa from P 958.00 (not P 928.00) to P 781.00. According to the guy I talked to, parang bumaba ang presyo ng oil filter this March lang.
The funny thing is, I called up their sister company, Union OTIS, but to my surprise, UNION Otis Oil filter is still at P 1,600.00 ++ They have a P 959.00 oil filter but it will void my warrranty daw if I use that, according to the person I talked to.
Now I'm in a bind. I'm nearer to Union Otis and I'm OK with their service, but damn, the price of the oil filter at Union Kalookan (DCT) is cheaper by half, but I don't know what kind of service they offer.

yup thanks for the correction, actually iba iba talaga sila mag presyo everytime i called (3x) na mentioned rin sa kin yung 781, 921 and 928 na oil filter prices. i think replacement yung oil filter na yun because ang vic filter for 4m41 is 900+ sa el dorado aurora blvd. prices are 1,500 for OEM oil filter and 500.00/li naman for turbo xp fully synthetic. so ito ang orig price nag a-add na lang mga dealers.
nadaan ako kanina umaga dun and one gray or black montero was entering, i though ikaw na yun sir one thing i like dun is pure service sila and walang showroom (less than 1km pa yung union motor kalookan) so i think pwede natin bantayan unlike sa ibang casa/dealer na off limits ang owner. try ko linawin on monday, tawagan ko ulit.
sa diamond q. ave naman kasi bukod sa 9 liters (560/li) 2,2K naman daw ang oil filter malamang sa edsa na lang ako once i confirmed na pwede mag observe but kung bawal rin baka q ave na rin. tiis na lang for 3 years

XTO, so there is a possibility that at theat low price of P 781.00, it's not original oil filter?
Nope, that's not me you saw. I'll wait for your feedback on Monday before I decide. Malamang I'll just stick to UNION Otis na lang kung hindi nga orig iyong oil filter sa Kalookan.
Sobrang taga naman ang Diamond Q. Ave. You should argue that 8 liters lang dapat i charge sa iyo. Better yet, why not try Union Otis if hindi rin pumasa sa iyo ang Kalookan, unless sobrang layo ito sa lugar mo.

possible sir i think, kasi masyadong mura compared even sa el dorado na MMC Genuine Parts Center. but i may be wrong baka old stocks pa nila yun so medyo swerte hehe. will call and check again tomorrow.
yes, Union Otis and Diamond Fairview are among my options but since mas malapit ang Kalookan and Q. Ave. medyo di ko kursunada mga service advisor sa Q. Ave even sa telepono medyo may pagka b$$t0s.

i just called DCT Holdings Corp. and ayos! orig yung 781 pesos 4m41 oil filter (this time tumama ang price mentioned nila) kaya lang tipong ibabalik ata sa range na 1,500 plus so sabi sa kin ipa service ko na daw . btw i talked with certain Richard and sabi ko sige siya na lang hahanapin ko at ng mga fellow MS owners.
confirmed ko rin na pwede silipin while they're doing the service also the veredium 15W-40 fully synthetic - priced at 450/li is made in germany and okay rin daw, medyo mataas lang ang Turbo XP (at 560/li) ito ang gusto ko makita para ma compare ang rating.

Due to time constraints and schedule not permitting, I decided to have my unit serviced at Union Otis. Sayang yung matitipid ko sanang 860++ (kung sa DCT) on the oil filter, but I had no choice unless I wanted to delay the 5k checkup till after the holy week, which I did not.
Anyway, total damage at Union Otis:
Oil Filter : 1,643.24
1 Liter H-Tech Fully Synthetic Oil for topping
(naubusan daw ng Turbo XP) : 560.00
Coloured rags : 6.12
Less GC : : -500.00
----------------------------------------------------------
Total :1,709.36

1000 kms PMS at Mitsubishi Motors Balintawak DCT Holdings Corp.
8 liters Turbo XP Fully Synthetic 560.00* - 4480.00
Mitsubishi Motor Oil Filter - 780.64
3 pcs rags 5.00* - 15.00
-----------
TOTAL COST 5275.64
They have also Motul Fully Synthetic 10W-40 at 450.00/liter but i opted for the Turbo XP. will try that Motul next time.
Thanks to Service Advisor Allan Soleta for allowing me to watch and observe fully . The 2 guys who did my oil change, thanks for adjusting my hand brake (my request) now it holds with only 2 clicks unlike before at 7-9 clicks sa uulitinLast edited by XTO; April 3rd, 2009 at 10:48 PM.

IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
