salamat po sir sa pag sagot
yup yun din para sa akin ang pinaka bang for the buck na variant eh hehe kaso tinanggal nila agad. you get the 4x4, the multi-info display, and the 4M41 engine for a lower price than the SE...

the 2.5 is a very good engine... not that zippy and responsive like the 3.2 pero malakas pa din sya in its own right. and matipid din. average ko is 11kms per liter mixed city/highway driving.

yes common-rail injected na yung engine... regarding durability and reliability makikita natin ito after some time kung may magsusulputang problema. let's give it a few years para masubukan ang DI-D.

HI! Im newbie here and I already read some of your post. Im also a montero fan so Im getting a unit next week (cross finger) medyo mahaba kc pila... Im getting a 4x2 2.5, medyo undecided pa nga ako kasi im not sure kung ok ba to sa biglang arangkada, Im using a hilux 4x4 at the moment and wala akong issue with power sa hilux. 4x2 2.5 owners satisfied ba tayo? or should I get the 3.2 instead? medyo malayo price and I have no plans using it for trekking, pure city-provincial road lang. Thanks guys!!!

available nalang daw ngayon is 1.250 and 1.68? ano po difference ng dalawa? why tinangal yung 1.5? i suggested to my dad kasi the 1.5 variant para naka 4m41 and 4wd.. tapos wala pang leather seats.. gusto ko kasi ipagawa sa labas leather seats para black...

babalik pa po kaya yung variant na yun?
    thanks
sadly sir, yes wala na ang 4X4 3.2 GLS the most lucky were those who had the 70K discount from the intro price of 1.5M kaya naging 1.430 na lang. bang for the buck talaga ang 3.2 GLS-LE

guys, this is my first post.. i have my 10K change oil and check up last June 25, thursday. my bill reached 9K considering that the labor is not free anymore. but my big surprise was when i was told that my front brake pads are both worn out already.I asked how much would the new brake pad be if i get it from the casa and i was told its about 6k to 7 thousand more or less.although i was given the idea that i can buy it from other source, but i feel reluctant to buy it from outside as it may void the warranty. Aside from that, i notice that the wear on my rotor head is not smooth as my other cars would be.ang gaspang talaga ng pudpod nya.i mentioned this to the technicians and they also hinted that its not normal to have a wear like that since its only on my 10k reading.so, I went to see the manager and told him that i have a warranty issue with the rotor head.He assured me that this will be taken up with the people from the higher ups in no time. Asked me to return on tuesday for the result. I maintained to him that there is a defect in the material of the rotor head. Btw, my unit is a GLS SE, P. black purchased last Feb. FYI.

wow.. only since feb and already on your 10t km checkup.. that alone will tell you how much you use your unit.. do you do alot of highway travelling? In my experience, that's a reason my your rotor is not smooth, in most cases, rocks, mud, and etc get in between the rotor and the callipers hence your wear. I wouldn't hope to have it warrantied because unless there's something wrong with the calliper, the brake pads are wear and tear items which is not included in the warranty, if the rotors are destroyed by the brake pads, then that also is not considered under warranty. since your pads are gone, my suggestion is to get after market pads.. there are so many reasons why its so much better. If you are willing to spend 6-7t for oem brake pads, i would recommend you getting ENDLESS or EBC brake pads, it will last much longer, plus if and when they run out, they don't tend to scratch your rotors right away.

thanks ntyce, that was a fast reply. your suggestions well taken, you're right i travel long distances, but i do hope that they will consider it, the warranty that is. I have compared the wear not only with my other cars but others as well, i've even looked at the rotor of one of the older cars also for pms at the casa and they have a smooth wear. It would be remote that i am the only one travelling long distances and on rough surfaces. anyways, i will keep you guys posted on what will happen come tuesday. btw, i think i did the right thing posting my experience on this thread and be a member of tsikot.com. thanks again ntyce, no wonder you are the most popular in the MS forum not to mention the mods in your unit.

Don't say that.. that's not true.. and i'm sure in the coming weeks i'll be kissing somebody's butt..

anyways, what i meant about the wear is that, yours might be the only unit that a piece or rock or mud entered your brakes wrongly which did not come off easily and lodged into your callipers which will scratch off or ruin your rotors and your brake pads. Hopefully they just claim it as factory defect or a recall. Force the issue that its probably a recall and don't let them know that you travel long distances as they might use that as an excuse against you. But remember these parts (your explanation and my imagination) are none warrantable parts, and the rotor which is actually, but from the sound of it was scratched by the brake pads which results as to being voided in the warranty.

Oh btw, getting after market brake pads such as ENDLESS and EBC will not void any warranty because the pads are really none warrantable parts. Plus these performance parts will save your rotors in the long run.
