Approaching 15k PMS now, (Monty is 7 months old), and I am really more of a DIY person. Sabihin man ng iba I am being "kuripot", pero I am now leaning towards opting out from Casa, and have it serviced by MitsuPrime in Las Pinas and get the opportunity to watch over how they do things and eventually be able to master the craft myself.
Given that I havent had any mechanical, electrical issues since I got my MS inspite of heavy use during long drives, my big question is --- What are the usual/common warranty claims you already had? Weighing in risks for future warranty claims versus just buying/paying those parts myself outside.

thanks sir noel. ano kaya details nung engine warranty claim for the montero?
regarding sa turbo naman, i will research further on what are the common cause of failures.. appreciate na rin if you can share here further details kung ano nangyari sa turbo nung neighbor niyo.. right now, i already have an OCC as an initial care for the turbo, plus ensuring i will stay within factory settings not to play with it. (i.e wastegate actuator settings, etc.)

August 15th, 2013 07:52 AM #1085Sir ash, nothing wrong with your choice not to have service sa casa. At least you know your car is properly maintained because you are on top of things concerning it. Also since you are a forumer, you are informed about the do's and don'ts sa montero.
May mga minor issues na pwedeng kahit maingat ka e affected like the fuel filler and tank rust.

In a BYD FB Group, they kept saying na "Toyota Reliability" is a myth sa dami ng local recall nila....
