sa specs data sheets lang mga figures (134hp) na yan mga sirs. when you dyno it sa real world, the power it delivers on the wheels (whp) is way much lesser than that. like my own gtv's showed 178Ps sa spec sheet, in actual dyno nasa 156whp lang. pareho lang din yan, nilagyan din ng non-vgt turbo ang glx to reach yung 134 hp, ganun din yung ibang brand, nilagyan ng vnt/vgt para umabot sa 141hp. madali lang mag-compare sa paper figures but actual performance varies. they may show lesser figures lang but it doesn't mean they are underpower or less performing than yours.

I agree sir. Actually kaya lang ako nag compare per spec is madami din kasing misconception(madalas specs data sheets based din) against sa MS GLX kesyo wala daw VNT/VGT sinasabi / nag aasume na agad na mahina yan or under powered etc(versus sa direct competion w/c are Fortuner 2.5 VNT and Eve 2.5 ICA1&2), believe it or not meron pa nga akong nabasa somewhere dito sa tsikot forums na hindi daw SUV ang MS GLX kasi walang VGT/VNT haha. Pero nung makuha ko na yung unit(note* I decided to go for montero because of the comfort sa passengers) na compare(real world) ko on par naman siya sa 2012 MS GLS-V 4x4 MT(specifically sa low gears 1-3 ONLY) and 2009 Fortuner 3.0(almost comparable sa lahat ng gears) na nai-drive ko na rin ng maraming beses so bonus na yung the fact na alam kung malakas din talaga siya. (Arguably MS GLS-V and Fort 3.0 are better than Fort 2.5 & Eve 2.5 vnt/vgt). Kaya talagang sulit talaga siya for me

sakin wala rin mismo sa panel gauge, pero sa buong dash and other parts sa interior marami kalampag(isa ito sa mga dis-appointmentments ko sa monty, kalampagin).may 2 na ko natry/nasakyan na iba monty, makalampag talaga (sa interior lang ha) ;(

Ask ko lang po kung wala bang magiging issue sa warranty regarding sa pag blank ng EGR? Hindi rin ba magkakaron ng problema sa performance ng engine in a long run?

Technically, void na warranty mo sir. Medyo matagal din akong nagcontemplate kung ipapa-blank ko. Pero mukhang madali naman tanggalin, if ever.

wala naman magiging issue yan kasi di naman basta makikita ng casa kahit pa tangalin ang EGR mo. sa performance wala ding problema, beneficial pa nga sa engine hindi nga lang sa environment.

pros:
- colder na yung air na papasok sa intake manifold mo so mas efficient ang combustion, better response sa lower rpm
- efficient combustion, better burning of fuel, kaya it eliminates excessive smoke typical sa Montero, di na tatawaging pusit unit mo
- eliminates o ma-lessen build up ng carbon sa intake manifold
- cost saving dahil once ma blank, di ka na magpapalinis ng EGR

cons:
- hindi na environment friendly Montero mo. read mo na lang ano ba function ng EGR...

Get it blanked as early as possible. I had mine blanked with Zix nung 500+ km pa lang odo reading. There were some particles sa EGR pipe na at that time.

I also agree with chief monty gtv & chief bennet. The earlier, the better ganyan din ako dati, extra careful pero once na mag start ka na sa mods, happy feeling talaga :D

I also had mine installed by the master, chief zix! Heheh (egr blanked, occ, a/c filter)

walang problema sir kahit pang daily drive. mas maganda mga pag-inhale ng makina mo sa k&n drop-in filter compared sa oem kasi mas less restrictive yung filtering media niya. ramdam mo agad ang response once ginamit mo. washable at reusable siya so makakatipid ka, ilang PMS lang bawi mo na. btw, yung k&n comes with a charging oil kit. after mo hugasan applayan mo nung oil niya to help in filtering out dust sa intake air. nasa box naman niya instruction paano i-apply yung oil. yung iba di na yata nag apply nung charging oil, hugas na lang regularly say every 5k kms o depende kung madumi.

here are some mods you can do to your rig,

basic mods
1. k&n air filter
2. egr blanking
3. oil catch can
4. optitron switch
5. turbo timer

power mods:
1. bigger intercooler
2. bigger exhaust w/ reverse flow or free flow muffler

yes, from downpipe. ideal sizes are 2.5" and 3" diam. if interested you can contact dante tel 09153429523/09326019683 for quotation. he will fabricate and install from downpipe, midpipe, muffler (reverse or free flow), tailpipe to exhaust tips. he did mine and most of fellow mscp members.

I forgot to add AC cabin filter para malinis din hangin mo sa loob ng cabin and throttle controller like sprint booster, pedal commander or weapon r1 for better response.

those are common mods you can do to increase the performance of your rig. most if not all of those mods are available from our in house master diy'er bro zix shoot him a PM
