I would like to know if it is normal for this type of engine to have splashing oil when you remove the oil fill cap? While the vehicle is idling, all of the Pajeros I have seen have splashed oil when I opened the oil fill cap ; but no oil splashes out from the engine dip stick. The sellers say that it's normal, but I am having doubts that the engines of these Pajeros are about to give up, am I right or wrong?

Most likely just the repair kit of the PS gearbox. Suggest you take your rig to Motorcraft in Amoranto QC. Call first or go early before 8am coz the waiting time there can get long. 02 4148633

Mga sirs napansin ko na medyo may moisture na nanggagaling sa power steering ko. Nagbabawasan din ang PS fluid ko pero mga 3 months inabot from Max to Min. Which parts kaya ang possible na kailangan palitan? Repair kit lang kaya? Any recommendations san kaya ok mag pagawa dito sa QC/Fairview area?

Medyo matrabaho ata mag repair ng power steering so magkano kaya ang tamang charge ng labor?

kelangan lang yan sir overhaul... repair kit lang kelangan mo and probably a liter of ATF/powersteering fluid.

repair kits usually cost P900-1000pesos (part number MR 272325 isang supot lang yan ng mga rubber seals)

2. filter gasket P450 casa price PART NUMBER MR166571

3. a/t fluid 6liters (mobil 1) forgot the price dahil stock ko pa 2years ago (sobra nung ondoy but my FM di naman victim)

4. miscellaneous... gasoline for cleaning, liquid gasket

5. labor P650 (ang dami pala tinantangal dun na turnilyo?!?)

Hindi naman if you have an oil catch can installed. If wala, yearly palinis mo turbo mo at intercooler IMO. Yung oil seal bibihira naman masira yan based on my experience with MMC turbo.

ah ok...san po ba pwede ipalinis turbo? DIY lang ba ito? yung intercooler i tried DIY with gas..shake-shake lang til luminis....


gusto ko din ma-check kung gumagana turbo? parang bitin ako sa 2nd/3rd gear pag arangkada eh...when i reached 3K rpm, parang di ko ramdam turbo...or baka nasanay na lang din ako.....comments pls....thanks ulet.

Kasi punta ko Antipolo this holyweek, from what I remember steep yung pababa. Ayoko naman ma cook at mag fade yung brakes ko ka tatapak ng preno...

pero sa casa every 40k kms ang palit niyan with atf filter replacement... alin ba masmaganda? masmadalas like every 20k o follow manufacturers specs?

and ano pala epekto ng sira ang intercooler fan? sira na kasi yung sa akin.hehe. next week ko pa mapapagawa

sir subukan niyo yung mga "Sanden" na fan sa mga aircon shops. usually Taiwan made yan. Sanden kuno lang hehe pero pwede mo yan i-retrofit sa itaas ng intercooler. para yung air pushing downwards. alam ko mahal ang surplus na intercooler fan.

ang nabasa ko, pwede mo din pa-open kasi baka carbon lang nasira.

had my intercooler fan replaced at rey's. stuck-up na kaya palit lang talaga ang solusyon.

pinarepair ko lang sa reys electrical.... carbon brush lang naman ang sira. less than 500pesos binayad ko... ok na ulit. nirekta muna nung electrician to show na umaandar na ulit. although hindi kaagad agad aandar kapag nakakabit na dahil may sensor yung fan. at a certain temp tsaka iikot.

Yung downhill ang worry ko, kasi baka ma sunod yung brakes. I believe sa Sumulong Hi-way going down was the steep road I'm referring to...

Curious din ako since never ko pa na felt mag engine break ang A/T ko since laging naka drive naman ako kahit sa level parking ng Malls going down like in Trinoma...
