may discussion rin nyan dun sa PPAC website... although ako hindi ko ginagawa yan. baka magkaproblema pa kasi kapag hinaluan... 95k km na FM ko ok naman performance na pure diesel lang and walang halo na 2T or fuel additives.

Bros, Im contemplating on buying a 2002 FM with 60k mileage. All stock pa daw po. what are the things that I should check or look into? Can you suggest a checklist para hindi po ako maloko.

im contemplating on trading in my 01 GU patrol 4x4 to a 99 fieldmaster 4x4,anyway are the shocks of the gen 2 and gen 2.5 FM the same?if ever i get an aftermarket shocks,same lang ba mounting nila?

Check if the papers are in order. You can also double check sa LTO.

Some practical tips.
1. Inside the car, check mo kung gumagana lahat ng switches and instruments.
2. Under the car, check mo kung ok pa ang mga shocks kung wala pa tagas (assuming stock pa nga ang nakakabit), kung walang kalampag.
3. Under the hood, check mo kung ok ang pag-maintain though medyo subjective ito kasi malamang bagong detail ang mga binebenta na cars.
4. Well, check mo rin ang service booklet kung regular ang maintenance service nya. You can also verify if the mileage reflected sa odometer is the same as the mileage appearing dun sa last periodic maintenance service nya (assuming sa casa ginawa).
5. More importantly, kung hindi mo talaga kakilala ang seller, magdala ka ng mekaniko para medyo confident ka na accurate ang technical inspection mo lalo na sa makina.

May possibility na tampered. Pero mahirap i-speculate yan. Well, here are some pointers.

1. Check body paint pati bubong
2. Engine for oil leaks pati yun behavior niya
3. Radiator water, kung siya ba ay maalaga sa coolant
4. Interior
5. Tires
6. Tire alignment. Pag may kabig kasi, more or less may sira ang mga pang ilalim niyan
7. Aircon (very importante)
8. Lights
9. Mga electricals niya (windows, side mirror, etc)

Yes they are. Pero a Patrol to a FM, parang pa-downgrade ang gagawin mo. Bakit naman? Maganda ang Patrol ah...

AC, suggestion ko ay sa Winterpine mo na lang ipa-rotate. Kailangan i-program iyong control unit para magtugma sa transceiver na nasa mga gulong. Unless na sa iyo pa ang owner's manual ng TPMS.

with regard sa mounting, parehas lang naman ata... but if you are talking about the OEM shocks installed, the FM OEM shocks are those with sensors. yung Gen 2 walang sensor unless its a gen2 JDM unit.

dagdag lang sa mga nabanggit...

for the electricals... check mo if all auxilliary fans are working (3 yan, isa sa intercooler, isang malaki sa likod ng grill, isang maliit sa bandang ilalim ng grill/likod ng bumper)

check mo rin starting... if hard starting,one click ba etc
marami kasi pwede repair if hard starting from simple glowplug replacement to calibration
kapag titingan mo na actual unit, better make sure hindi pa nagamit dahil kapag uminit na engine marami ingay nawawala.

i already have a patrol super safari and i just want again a pajero for alternate car.but iv owned a 95 gen 2 and 99 fm before which i sold already since the offer is good.and now im wanting another fm for a replacement of my 01 GU zd30.

yung gen2 na JDM lahat may SMH... dito sa pinas ata yung gen2 walang SMH except for the later models (97-98) yung tinawag din ng MMPC na fieldmaster (in a gen2 body) may SMH yun and jumpseats na 3rd row hindi na front facing.

tapos lumabas na yung gen2.5 (blister fender) 99-2008 may SMH and varying seat configurations kasi yung late models balik front facing 3rd row ulit
