    bigla nalang tumagas. may tumusok galing sa loob sa casing ng Rear diff. kasing laki ng isang raisin yung butas. bukas ko pa papa buksan. naghahanda lang ako kung sakali kailangan ko parts from surplus.

    Thank you po sir Jett, for the input I'm glad to hear na na-ayos po yung issue ninyo hehe, so replacing the injector nozzle fixed the issue? Saan niyo po siya napagawa and magkano po inabot?


    Sir Omzhky, kung napalitan niyo na po yung air filter, fuel filter and your turbo's fine, but prevalent pa rin po yung black smoke, then I guess ipa-calibrate niyo na po yung injection pump niyo Black smoke indicates an imbalance to the air to fuel ratio; that there's either too much fuel added or not enough air resulting in incomplete combustion but then again, since you're turbo's fine, the issue's more likely with thefuel injection pump putting out too much fuel. I also think this is the problem with our Pajero as well (our EGR valve is also blanked already, by the way) and will definitely have it checked/calibrated if necessary when I get the chance. Hope your issue gets resolved, sir Does anyone know po if the 4M40 from the 2002 Fieldmaster uses EFI or still the mechanical fuel pump? Because I've heard that on the older models, the mechanical fuel pump had an adjustment screw to reduce or increase the amount fuel.


    On another note, I also definitely think the glowplugs are shot, numerous cold starting problems when the engine has not been run for at least a day. Massive shuddering when starting and the engine dies unless I provide throttle input and during these moments (30 seconds to a minute at most), the engine sounds and feels like it's misfiring. When fully warmed up, though, everything's smooth. It may also have something to do with the injection pump, but I've also read about the 4M40's known appetite for glow plugs hehe

    Mechanical po yan unless converted from Japan (Subic or Cagayan). Yes may naadjust sa fuel pump pero ipa-calibrate mo na nga lang.

    nelany, di ko din alam bakit nasira. dapat mas mauna pa daw mabulok kotse sa diff. pero sa nlex bigla nalang may Umingay.

    nakakuha ako ng Japan surplus diff (pic) . pag silip ko sa loob may plates sa gitna. nagtaka ako bakit iba sa luma ko. sabi ng mekaniko LSD. sobrang tuwa ko mura lang ng diff 7.5k lang. with complete rear brake disc and calipers and pads. pa repaint and rust converter ko pa yung diff para mukhang bago.

    Oo nga bihira lang masira ang differential kaya natanong ko kung papaano nasira yung sa iyo. Good buy yung Japan surplus mo. Meron pang shocks an kasama. Saan mo nabili yan?

    Meron akong nabili sa Ebay na cluster instrument for P3.3k (shipping included). Keeping ready para sa pag palit sa masisira. Yung inclinometer ay 2X ko ng na repair using yung recommended mong pringles na cover, . Next time na mag sira pa siya palit na siya!

    magandang upgrade yung LSD hehe mura pa. palitan mo na din gear oil. yung magandang klase na. possible ba na masira diff pag wrong grade of oil ginamit? mostly kasi sa mga gas station monograde lang yung gear oils nila.

    btw, after mo kabit diff, check mo yung power ng fm. alam ko lsd will give more power sa wheels.

    Hi guys. One-third (1/3) of my radiator fan was snapped yesterday. The broken radiator fan lodged upward and broke the plastic connector between the reservoir rubber hose and radiator. My radiator top is made of plastic. Can I fix this using epoxy? or palitan ko nalang yong radiator top?

    Napapa mahal nga yung repair kasi kailangan munang bumili ng pringles para ma ayos siya

    Kung pwede mong palitan yan ng brass cover mas ok yun kesa sa plastic.

    Ok parin yung Pringles na nakakabit sa akin, just preparing for a spare kasi mura na siya.

    Na ikabit na yung differential mo? Feedback mo kung ano performance.

    Yes, I'll do that. I tried fixing using epoxy yesterday, but the result is not good. Any suggestion for reliable radiator repair shop? I'm living in Better Living. Quezon area might be too far for me. Thanks in advance

    Ano yung ine epoxy mo yung radiator fan o yung naputol na kabitan ng radiator hose? Google mo yung 3L radiator para maka bili ka ng top brass ng radiator mo. They also install with a fee.

    Sir what type of epoxy you used? Mas maganda yung metal filled epoxy. Mas mabils na matuyo, mas matibay pa sa init. Just dont forget to sand the areas first before applying the epoxy. Anyway, this method is suppose to be a remedial solution, the permanent is of course a replacement or better yet conversion to copper cover.

    mag share ako sa inyo about differentials. ilang gabi ako na Puyat kaka basa about diff ng fieldmaster.


    after masira ang rear diff ko naghanap ako sa banawe ng surplus Rear diff. thanks kay pareng Monty at dun nag simula ang lahat.

    ang oem rear diff ng Gen 2.5 ay 4.9 ang ratio. nung binili ko yung surplus na diff walang kahit anong markings. at di pa ko familiar sa ratios. dapat pala same parin sa 4.9 or else di siya gagana with Super select 4x4. diyan nag simula ang problema ko. After install ng rear diff nag sctex ako agad to test at high speeds.

    napansin ko agad na parang bumilis ang takbo dahil usually nasa almost 2.5k rpm ang 100kph. but ngayon at level ground nasa 2300 lang siya. mas tahimik ang makina at mas relaxed. sa isip ko ok lang dahil mas matipid din sa diesel to. after pag dating ng subic. pumunta ako sa beach to test my new surplus lsd. dito din abot tainga ang ngiti ko. napapaikot ko na ng sabay ang two wheels at kumakamot. tuwang tuwa parin ako. sinubukan ko rin sa basang asphalt road habang may speed konti turning left. bigla ko binaon ang accelerator sa turn kung dudulas ang rear. aba ang galing medyo may slight kamot and drift and controlled parin thanks sa lsd. parang sa toyota 86 pag lumiliko ka at madulas. sasayaw yung pwet.


    heto naman ang problema di na ko makapag 4H sa kalye. dati pag basa ang kalye. automatic na shift agad to 4H. napansin ko lang na parang pigil ang takbo. yun pala mas mabilis ang ikot ng Rear ko kaysa harap. and nag basa ako about center diff di siya pwede patakbuhin ng unequal ratio. kahit open siya.

    at first gusto ko na ibalik sa pinag bilhan ko yung diff para palitan ng 4.9 para balik oem. but napaisip ako na gamitin ko muna yung setup ko ngayon. pwede parin naman ako mag 4x4 but dapat sa lupa. Di pwede sa roads.

    para pala malaman ang ratio ng diff pag walang markings. iikotin mo lang yung wheels 10 times. pag ilan ang ikot ng propeller yun ang ratio natin. kaya sa oem 4.9 it means Naka 49 ikot yung propeller. yung nakuha ko is 4.65 which is 46 and a half na ikot. ang rear diff din ng Gen 2.5 is bigger than local Gen 2. 9.5 inch Vs 9 inch. Yung nakuha kong surplus is designed Gen 2.5 na 3.5v6 gas version. sa ngayon gagamitin ko nalang muna itong setup ko. pag masiraan kayo ng diff mas alam niyo na hahanapin. Di naman ganun kabigat gastos. 7.5k for the diff and 2.8k for labor. tapos napakilo ko pa yung Old diff ko 1k din nakuha ko. and may rear rotor and caliper brakes ako. Baka meron may kailangan sa inyo.
