Nababahala na ko sa FC ng FM namin. Last FC na sinabi ng tatay ko ay 5.7 km/L lang, Sobrang baba na talaga. Wala naman kami napapansin sa takbo niya kasi malakas naman humatak. Pero medyo mausok siya. Tingin niyo ba ay kelangan ko na itong ipa-calibrate? Ako kasi, medyo hesitant pa ko at gusto ko muna subukan sa kanya na lagyan ng 2T. Pag in a week or 2 walang nangyari, malamang magpapa-schedule na ko sa CDC o ke Berima.

naka hid po fogs ng fm namin.. mahina parin po.. wala kwenta.. maliit po yata kasi reflector.. tinangal ko nadin yung parang harang na lata para hindi nakakasilaw.. mahina talaga buga.. hehe


nagpachange oil ako kanina.. surprised ako after only 5k.. sobra dumi na pala ng k&n ko.. dahil kaya sa offroad?

Your filter being dirty is a sign that it is doing its job. The dirt on the filter acts like an extra filter layer. You don't have to clean it. I started using K&N back in 1994 and they produce more noise due to the extra ability of the filter to suck in more air and they do filter out more dirt. Manila air is dirty and if you go off-roading, chances are you're kicking up a lot of dust hence your dirty filter. I used my K&N filter before for 20,000 km before I recharged it but I love the look of a nice slightly reddish and very clean K&N.

Sir maaring injectors lang.sa 4d56 ko maganda rin tumakbo pero mausok. Decided to have it calibrated,ayaw naman ng calibration at ok pa daw kaya injectors lang pinalitan

i'm only doing around 5-5.3km/L...newly calibrated, tuned up, etc. though my daily itinerary is just a short drive to the office (less than 5 mins) and uphill at that. do you guys confirm that this is a valid reason for my high FC? my filters, oil, etc. are just a few months old.

our fm 4m40 is still doing 7km/L
our gen2 use to be able to do 8km/L (when i started driving it year 2003) now.. its down to 6+ only...

one more thing guys... yung white plastic na may fins.. parang nakakaharang sa intake.. napansin ko... malinis yung area na nasa ilalim ng white fins... kaya pagkainstall ko ngayon.. tinangal ko na yung white fins..

Or puwede mo gawin is after 2,500kms eh ilipat mo yung fin.

Kapag new engine oil, new tranny fluid at new differential oils, kayang-kaya ko 6.5km/ltr sa city driving. Malaking bagay talaga kapag bago lahat ng fluids.

Anong klaseng problema meron sa 4wd ninyo? Tsaka taga saan kayo sir para pwede namin kayo matulungan kung saan kayo pwede magpaggawa

My FC is around 5-6 for city driving. My idling speed is a bit high at 1000 rpm but at this speed, I don't really feel the engine vibrate so much. What are your idling speeds?

Are those white fins part of the air filter or can they be removed? Around 10,000kms ago, I took my FM to a shop for servicing and changed the air filter. Te white fins seemed attached to the OEM air filter which was already clogged up so I threw the whole thing away. My current aftermarket filter doesn't have fins but it seems to be just doing ok. I think those fins act like a spacer and the way they are curved, it seems that they make the air go in a circular motion when they get sucked in. Well, that are just my thoughts on it.

Our JDM's idle speed is at 1k RPM at normal tenperature. Our Fieldmaster idles at 900 RPM at normal temperature.

Hmmmm, walang white fins yun sa Fieldmaster namin simula nung nabili namin. Ok lang naman siguro na wala.

yes.. removable po fins... i removed for both sa ngayon.. feel ko kasi nakakaharang.. hindi po siya pwede maikot sa kabilang side.. only fits one side... i dont know what purpose is..
if purpose is to get air around para magamit buong filter.. hindi maganda design.. kasi its blocking half of the filter.. ang iniisip kong purpose is... to keep it in the center of the cylinder... pero... feel ko not really required since... pag hinigpitan naman yung wingnut... masikip and hindi na gagalaw.. hehe

kaya tinangal ko nalang for now.. let see.. kung ano mangyari.. hehe

Nagkaproblem JDM paj ko, sira na daw IC reg at diode assembly plus maingay na din bearing nang alternator. Kahapon ko pinagawa, sana maayos na din.
