PB speaking of pads, ok din ba bendix kasi nagpalit ako 2 mos ago bendix nilagay so far ok naman..tho di ko alam kung mas pang matagalan yun or di maganda sa rotor discs..

Freeloader as for tires naman for me straight bridgestone ako..type ko kasi yung white letterings ng bridgestone parang bagay na bagay sa pajero

oliver1013, expereince ko lang, dati kasi binigyan ako ng tropa ng replacement pads, pagkakaalam ko bendix yun, kaya din naayawan nung tropa kasi meron konting metal sound pag malapit na mag full stop. ganun din naging complain ko kaya pinalitan ko ng oem.

Thanks sir PB, your info is very helpful indeed. My pads are almost due and will surely go for akebono at carline but will call el dorado first to confirm if they're selling akebono as well, might compare prices too.

Btw sir do you happen to know where i can source a Yokohama Geolandar AT-II 265/70/R15? Ive been to Evangelista and not even one shop there sells this tire. If i cant find at the end of this week is it ok to run with different brand coz there are abundant of Bridgestone with that specs. Thanks again.

freeloader, pag nagcanvass ka ng pads, can you please ask kung nakaprint akebono, kinukulit kasi ako ng friend ko na ibalik sa carline yung pads dahil hindi daw dapat ganun ang oem. something smells like tilapia daw,

good day po.. newbie po, been reading your forum for quite sometime now, and it's really informative... ask ko lng po opinion nyo kung nice deal po ba, the company that i work with is planning to auction off their FM, i bid for 100K and i think they would give in,
1. its a 2001 i think..
2. not running condition naghalo na daw po ung water sa oil ng engine sa madaling salita siguro katok na engine,
3. the body is nice konting wax lng po,
4. although the internior need some refreshment ksi you know company cars kung sinosino na lng po gumagamit.
5 . tires and suspension is still fine
6. aircon cleaning lng po

kung overhaul po ung engine how much po ba? or better yet palitan na lng po engine? my brandnew po ba na ganito engine any idea how much? pati surplus na engine din po?

if i were you would you go for it po or not?

hi! with regards dun sa naghalo yung water and oil, cracked cylinder head malamang problema nyan, or sana cylinderhead gasket lang... im not sure thou kung meron makuha bago pero may kilala kong nagpalit ng cylinder head ng 4m40 engine, nakuha nya surplus 43k, yung gasket less than 3k siguro... plus polishing/machineshop/installation mga 6k nagastos niya.

if meron ka pa extrang pera to recondition the unit, bakit hindi? wala kang mabibiling 200k++ na FM (assuming total gastos mo to recondition the car) sa second hand market ngayon.hehehe

btw, pansin ko lang po na masmatibay ang 4d56 vs 4m40 engine... may 2 akong kilala nagpalit na ng cylinder head and sabi po ng mga taga machineshop, the best daw ang 4d56? alaga lang daw sa timingbelt ang 4d56 wala ka problema... or may maintenance issues lang ang 4m40 to keep it running in excellent condition?

i seem to have misplaced/lost/dropped my spare key, kasama syempre yung alarm switch. first time ko po ito so di ko alam next steps. sa casa lang ba ang tuloy ko or pwede sa labas na lang?

syempre palit ang lahat ng susian, right?:ouch: eh paano yung alarm key/switch? bili ba ulit 2 units or pwede palitan yung frequency nung original unit ko na kapareho nung new unit? yung alarm ko po ay code alarm.

master pb, i am thinking of installing insulation under the carpets sa front seats. yung color silver na nilalagay sa ilalim ng mga bubong at aircon ducts? is that a good idea? both for heat and noise na rin???
