for his thought sharing its good that I heard that there are lot of issues about montero, We already sell our 95 strada and looking for a replacement maybe next year. My choices include 4x2 CRv and Montero 4x4 2.5 MT.

easyman- regarding your trip I think YEs, ur montero can go back home because u have a LSD coz you are using GLS SE, its good if your vehicle is equipped with one.

you will be great when u pass the unveven muddy road , HAPPY TRIP =)

meron din chance na mag appear ito sa strada? wla pa ko narirring sa strada namen (model 2006 )um bkit ganun ang MS, gusto ko din ng MS kasi malaki compare sa Crv, hay sana mas galingan ng mistsu ang quality nila.

Kung city driving lang, get the CRV. But if you hit the provincial roads regularly, the underchasis parts and suspensions of the Montero is much durable. You dont have to slow down on minor cracks on the pavements.

Sirs, just wanted to ask kung meron nang naka-experience sa inyo ng problems with the engines. I've been reading on the engine woes of some Fortuner D4D users and wondering whether the same is true with the Mitsu DiD engines, to some extent.

I'm particularly curious to hear from the early bird owners. I'm almost at the point of choosing the Monty for my next car but I figure I'd do some due diligence on the known issues. Minor rust and alarm issues I can live with, but engine headaches are something else entirely.

hehe oo nga pala sorry i forgot.. meron din kami l300 pang deliver ng tubig.. hanggang ngayon ok pa. tibay pa sa kargahan.. sa tingin ko lang kahit anong car siguro basta gawa etong generation natin medyo mahina ang quality na.. masyado na kase tinitipid ang mga gamit sa pag gawa and poor quality na. hindi tulad noon na pag bumili ka ng auto 1year warranty lng pero maka sigurado ka naman na tatagal. ngayon pahabaan ng warranty haha... kawawa naman mga consumer

Strada and montero share the same engine, Our 3.2 pick up never yet encounters engine problem, but some strada owners replace the SCV(suction control valve), this parts is sensitive to low quality fuel. But after replacing this parts ok na ulit ang engine mo, just choose the clean gas station.

our pickup hits 10k plus in odometer now, now NO black smoke but noisey engine nga lang, hehehe , ok na yun noisy wag lang lousy engine.

take note yun uneven height, and leaf spring annoying sound.

I just finish my 10 k PMS. dragging is still present. computer test revealed no error daw. My service attendant is helping with all he has but our monty is computer fed that can be cured by computer (PROGRAM)adjustment. He cant do so much. They rely perhaps on the computer detector.

10k na ako. as old as yours but mine was used more than yours hehehe dami na gasgas (scratches) from off road / rough road travels tio test the powers.

Where can i do the detailing kaya??

sir detailing i would recommend sa poorboy's banawe or han.d. job sa may timog same owner look for billy. meron sila ngayon new type of detailing nano tech. first idedetail nila yung car niyo depending on the conditions of the paint. then after spray the nano para siyang top coat then after na dry pupunasan un. tapus it will last for about 6-7 months. i have tried it on my black civic fd very satisfied ako sa result.

The radio remote of my 6 months monty has lost its battery power. No problem with the remote being blocked by any signal. Just change battery. The same is true with the remote keyless entry.
