Chief, the brochure which can downloaded fr Mits website is the'12? Almost same interior. The difference i noticed is on the AC controls. And according to SeatMate, magkaiba ng size ng seats? Nagpagawa ako kanina kaya nalaman ko.

issue 1: remote "lock" button doest generate beep when already locked.
issue 2: central lock doesnt engage with the "brake" pedal depressed.
issue 3: all car doors closed, but central lock is not engaged from the remote.. after ~2mins, "lock" alarm goes off "beep! beep".. now, tried to open the door,, ("wang wang wang"). panic mode..

1: well, nasanay lang kasi ako sa dati kong car na pag already locked, i can still push the lock button sort of verifying if its already locked and its a way of "paging" the car's location specially when parked in a crowded area.. (its too risky to unlock->lock the car while you're away from it just for paging purposes.)

2: again, baka naman this is not the real standard, at nasanay ako sa dati kong car.. but this would be more practical if this feature enabled.

3: is this an issue or more of a feature? i was expecting this should physically trigger central lock, not just the alarm..

done, pero all i can see there are 2 general options only. activate or deactivate.. the one using the window washer technique.

sir rover, i wasnt able to scan/or take a pic of the alarm instructions yet, since ito mismo yung kasama sa main montero manual. ("Cancelling the system" Page 1-21; "Cancelling the alarm" Page 1-23) i dont recall any separate manual for the alarm. i only got main car manual + the AVT manual. hmm. anyways, my 1k pms is due next week na so i might just refer to the casa tech na lang soon..

Maybe, its me who cannot fully comprehend yet w/ the instructions above.. Will do further experimenting again tomorrow.

Bro try this:

When you get out of the car, arm the alarm, after 2 secs, disarm it, open & close the door.

The alarm/ "wang-wang" should not activate evrytime you open the door.

3. This is a fail-safe feature for those who regularly forget their keys inside the car.

Alarm din angal ko sa 2013 monty ko, Di gaano kasensitive yung alarm, kahit hampasin mo sa body di mag aalarm or di ko lang alam siguro mag arm ng maayos yung alarm ng kotse.

*ash 0279 sir hassle nga yan ;) anyway you can try this.put key on on position mark. do not start engine, within 5 sec. press red button under your dash.it will sound a long chirp then again press 2x red button. and press lock button on your key.then take off the key. lock doors and try your remote key.better check the red switch button earlier para mas madali.

What Red button under the dash? What I can see is a RED/Yellow LED. Are you referring to the one beside the side-mirror control console? I didn't notice any red button under the dash aside from the one I described.

*aragon58 - sir as per my SA before ko nilabas monty sa casa, he confirmed wala daw shock sensor ang mga 2013 na labas. not sure nga lang if he's referring only to non-vgt's or in general.

*ginson - yung red panic button ng 2013 nasa side underdash mismo. just look above the dead-pedal footrest.

Got my MS 2013 GTV 4x2 AT last Dec 14 2012.
Drove it around for 3 week and hit my 1000km PMS Jan 4 ,2013.
Happy on its performance especially on its VGT in the highway.

The alarm system is supplied by Winterpine accessories. The warranty is also covered by them. If you are near the Sta.Mesa/ Araneta Ave. area in QC, I suggest you have your alarm issues resolved by Winterpine directly. Their plant & main office is near UERM along Sta. Mesa or near their accessory shop in Araneta Ave. Thus far, I am highly satisfied with their after sales support.
