Question lang mga pre, mine is gls-v 2013, It is my habit especially in Slex to take a nap for a while pag sobra antok, When I turn off the engine,nag open lock ng door automaticaly. now, to be safe bago mag nap, lock ko ulit ang door, however, unlike my other cars, the Montero alarm is activated when you lock it when the engine is not running.The blinking blue light is annoying especially at night ,nakakawala ng antok. So, the question is ,how do you lock the door without activating the alarm when you are inside? TIA

you may use the drivers side door lock.

tried this and it is wrong. blue warning light is still blinking and alarm activated.

tried this and it is wrong. blue warning light is still blinking and alarm activated.


could be that yours has been tweaked.

Ask ko lang po regarding sa alarm system,yong monty glx ko bigla na lang nawala yong security alarm sound..every time mag lock and unlock ako sa remote no sounds pero nag blink yong light nya. Sana meron po nakakaalam sa inyo paano ibalik yong sounds? Thank you po...

yup, talagang "on" stuffs like MIS , etc before you can lock the doors w/o engaging the alarm. mine works at acc, plus i can turn off the MIS since i diy an ON/OFF mis switch

Thanks Sir Zixx, though 2013 model seems to be different, kahit nasa acc di ma disable, so pag nsa kotse ka, at lock mo, hindi pwedeng "malikot" sa loob, baka mag alarm. . but the MIS diy On/Off switch is badly needed, nag ha hang ang HU , so now, you need to turn off the engine to reset :-(.. di ko lang ma diy kasi warranty pa..

Sir zix, we should have the same alarm since we both have the 2011 gtv. I tried this procedure but my alarm still activates.
One more thing, one time I lost my keys and when I got my spare key, it did not have battery power anymore. When I unlocked the car manually using the keyhole on the drivers side, the alarm was triggered. So, I had a key but cant start the car. Imagine if you are out of nowhere and the alarm battery is drained. You will have to leave your car and buy a fresh battery to use your car. Haaay. I hate this alarm system..... its irritating.

By the way, I also noticed in your video that when you switch the key to on "accessory", the automatic lock is activated. In my case, as well as probably some other monty owners, automatic lock is only activated when the key is already on the "ON" position.

I think that's normal. Been hearing that with my other cars as well.

yup meron din ko nyan due to expansion and contraction of metal parts.meron nga rin ako naririnig tok tok sa likod maybe coming naman from the spare tire pag nalubak o passing a humps pag ung rear wheel na ung sumampa tumutunog.meron din naman na hissing sound coming maybe from the evaporator sa rear due to gas expansion naman
