My mother bought her Mirage GLS noong December 2013 and til now wala problema except one time it wasn't used for a week, then nagkaroon ng hard starting, as in ayaw mag-start (but starter cranked) May procedure naman sa owner's manual nya how to deal that problem.
Pero one note, my brother owns a GLS G4 and I notice mas magaan at mabilis umarangkada ang G4 nya kesa sa HB ni mother.
so did it start finally?
sometimes, oil drains down into the oilpan, leaving the engine dry. it takes some cranking to bring that oil back up..
i'd say, this is normal. it doesn't happen too often, 'though..

I'm interested in the center console, how much is this?
does it work as a cooler?
Hi guys... i'll apologize in advance if this is in the wrong thread or if there is already an existing thread (which I tried to find but I can't)
Hope you can help me decide on the best thing to do... My windshield got hit by a foreign object while I was driving my Mirage sa SLEX... It started as star-shaped crack which has now progressed to now a >8in crack... I would like it to be replaced because I read that repairing will not "absolutely" stop the crack from re-appearing (even if it takes years or so) and because I'm super OC that way.. :D
Replacement will cost me 9k in aguila...
I don't have an active insurance policy, but my initial thought is that this can be claimed under own damage right?
If so, then maybe I can renew my insurance policy (price is 14k, participation is 2k) then wait out a few weeks.. and then declare a claim for own damage...
Considering 9k (replacement) vs 14k (insurance), tama ba na it's better for me to renew my insurance? Isip ko kasi, that way, I can have my windshield replaced and then still have protection for 1 whole year...
Last year, I was able to claim w/o hassle for repainting of my bumper... but that was minor only... so worry ko windshields may be more "costly" == "more hassle"?
Or? Is there that possibility that insurance will just repair my windshield which in that case magiging lugi ako?
I can only spend for one option...
that's dishonest.
just pay for it yourself.
isipin mo na lang... had you insured it earlier, you would have paid 14K. participation fee is 2K. you would have spent 14k + 2k = 16k, for a job that would have cost you only 9k if you paid for it yourself. you actually are saving 7k !!
God is telling you that you're still ahead, even if you played it by His rules. do you want to challenge fate (God, Karma, etc)?
and yess.. insurance can bail you out more than once in a year.
^add ko lang sa post ni dr.d
alam ko pag matagal di nakapag renew ng policy check ng insurance yung auto bago ka bentahan eh
Need help. Im torn between a 2nd hand 2009 civic 1.8s and a brand new mirage glx cvt. I like the civic because its stylish and its sedan. but the price of the 2nd hand civic is close to that of a brand new miragle glx. Need help. Thanks.
Honda Civic is better but make sure it's a well maintained used vehicle. Also it will cost more to maintain than Mirage.
I'm planning to buy a used Civic FD 2009 M/T but I'm also having a hard thoughts of buying a new Mirage GLX Hatchback CVT. Since cheaper ang used civic I can probably use the extra cash for its future repairs. But the mirage GLX is tempting since its a brand new and worry free car for atleast 3 yrs. I can't make up my mind. Magkano po ba inaabot ng maintenance ng Civic FD M/T? If id be spending a little with FD then ill probably go with it. Can you shed us some light po? And is a 66k mileage on a 6 yr old civic still worth the 500k budget? I was thinking that if I'm getting an M/T car might as well go for a used Civic. But if I'm buying a brand new, then I'll get the mirage CVT. Saan ba mas makakatipid in the long run?
I've been using my wife's MIrage for some time now this last 12 months and one thing I know:
Fuel consumption is soooo Good. Cabuyao to Alabang on a liter of fuel is doable.
I dont use my SUV anymore if I'm going to a traffic and parking scenario.
I can park easier on small spaces.
Maintenance is so cheap. 3 liters of oil and a oil filter thats worth 350 php (casa).
I dont worry about breakdowns because its brand new
I dont worry about unforseen issue's since it has a 5 year warranty.
Of course its a cheapo car and it has it's quirks... but a 5 year old civic also has it's quirks...and some
save yourself the headache/box of Biogesic and get the brand new Mirage.

I'm a Mirage HB 2014 cvt owner and I can't complain about its FC. Tipid sa fuel cost. It's a good car, i have no complains just observations.
Common reklamo ng mga owners is that mahal ang maintenance while on warranty pa (the PMS cost), most dealership eh hanggang 5K PMS lang ang free labor, while few others offer up to 10k or even 30k PMS free labor. I think mas makaka-mura if you take the unli-PMS or free upto 30k PMS freebie instead of LTO processing (~7k php). Mirage's 10K PMS labor only will cost you ~3k+ php na, of course the cost gets higher every heavy check up (20K, 30K..) I'm unsure if it's the same maintenance cost for other subcompact cars like Wigo, Brio etc.
And also, malambot ang suspension ng Mirage.
Good day sa lahat. Im planning to get mirage hb gls for my wife. The dealer is giving us 55k discount from the srp. Just wondering if may lalabas na ba na new model? Kasi ang laki ng discount. By the way, nag test drive kame ni wife kanina and we're satisfied with the performance![]()
