Anybody else experiencing low voltage on a full load? Umatras lang ako out of the driveway, pansin ko pababa voltage ko. So I observed na muna. Ang naka on were the headlight on bright, fog lights, dual aircon, radio, backup camera. Bumaba from 14.0v slowly down to 11.9v. Afterwards, pag arangkada na, balik 14-13.5v.

Thought it was the battery. 1 yr old Motolite Enduro. I replaced it today to an Amaron Pro just to eliminate the likely sources. Parang ganon pa din.

^ ganyan din kapag umaatras ako palabas sa garahe, bumababa boltahe at volume ng radyo. kapag paabante na, balik na sa dati. hindi naman naging isyu sa mahigit 5 taon ng unit ko

Thanks for the feedback. I observed it a bit more today (1-2 times a week lang kasi nagagamit yung Montero).
Parang parehas kapag stop and go traffic na matagal. I noticed kapag mga 1 hr na stop and go, voltage dips. Again, this is with the usual electronics on (headlights, fog lights, aircon front and rear, wiper, brake lights, radio). It went down to 12.9v. I turned off the fogs and radio and it climbed back up to 13.1v. Kept it that way for the remainder of the trip.
Anyone else with a voltmeter that observes the same? Or maybe my alternator is shot?

may i know anong gamit mo pang measure ng voltage? if yung mga usb charger type with digital voltmeter, i think they are not that accurate. meron din ako niyan dati saka yung elm obd scanner via torque pro app sa phone, hindi nagpapareho reading. mas accurate if you have a proper voltage gauge installed. for me, as long as wala ako problema during starting, i don't bother much about it. okay din ang yung alternator kasi nagkakarga naman yata yung battery di ba? kung palyado yung alternator at di nagkakarga yung battery malamang maka-experience ka ng hard starting since 1-2 times a week lang kamo nagagamit sasakyan mo.

another thing you can do, check o list down mo voltage reading pag-garahe mo after ginamit. then before gamitin mo, check mo ulit. if malaki ang difference baka may problem sa electrical system ng sasakyan mo kaya nade-drain yung battery.

Same here but I notice it pag bagong start yung sasakyan. Lumalakas yung aircon blower and headlight pag tataas rpm or aapak sa accelerator. So hindi pala accurate volt meter sa cig lighter buti hindi pa ako nakabili.

Another is normal ba even on cold start hindi nagmamaintain muna sa higher rpm yung first minute during idling si monty para uminit agad makina? Sa gasoline car kasi pag cold start mataas rpm then few minutes baba na pag mainiit na makina sa montero wala.

I have a low voltage issue on my old car (although not a montero sport) which we initially suspected na may sira yung alternator or battery. It turned out that the only problem is the wire/cable from the alternator to the battery which deteriorates over time based on my research. Quick check is to hold that wire, kung sobrang umiinit, may problema yan. More accurate is to check via a tester dun sa part ng wire na malapit sa battery then sa part ng wire na malapit sa alternator which should yield a different reading kung may problema yung wire. With the help of our suking mechanic, what we did is to install a parallel wire with the same specs as the current (no need to remove the old one) and it solved the problem. Anyway, I still use the cigarette lighter type volt meter for monitoring purpose since sa experience ko, may difference lang of about 0.2 V with the actual reading when we tested directly yung output ng alternator.

i would have removed the old cable.
it may still heat up as before, as it still conducts electricity.
and it might confuse other people.
    my opinion.

^ halos wala naman pinagkaiba except for the bigger h.u. screen and the climate control system. The rims too are different and the tpms for the '14 model is already factory equipped i think

Things to check? Sa 5 yr old monty namin wala naman naging major problem. Although maybe you should check the condition of your prospect's inhibitor switch. So far i think every monty in the forum here has already replaced theirs

with regards to engine and transmission wala bang pinagkaiba sir? may nakita kasi akong 2012 low mileage compared sa 2014 same gls-v malaki price diff. so kung wala naman masyado pinagkaiba baka mag 2012 na lang ako sayang din ang savings ipambili na lang ng black mamba

    Guys,

The time on my HU is always changing whenever I turn off the power. Is there a battery in the HU for the time that needs to be replaced?

    Thank you for the advice
