Wishing for something bad to happen to someone is very distasteful. Hay... Just to prove a point.

Ingat tayo lahat and just enjoy our headturner montys.

do u guyz use nitrogen on your tires? tried using nitro on my pajero but found it very inconvenient since I have to go to that specific shop everytime i do pressure correction.

40 per tire is not bad. Observation ko lang at start up, on my 28", 35psi siya, after long drive around 37.5psi na siya, on ordinary air, 39psi after long drive.

this is still the same monty-merc incident posted in the issues thread/sudden acceleration thread and other threads

if i am not mistaken, a full report by mitsu on the incident was also posted for the information of all

best to read the report of the owner, then the report of mitsubishi and make your own judgment/evaluation

for those monty owners who are very fearful of this issue, simple lang naman ang solusyon: sell your monty

i am sure may mga buyers din dyan naghihintay who would be more than willing to take the risk for you

I still believe it's an isolated incident....as 111prez said, .002% lang yan. Usually a recall is in order if lumampas sa certain threshold nag incidents.

the .002% assumes 50 incidents and sales of the montero has stagnated to 200 units only for 2011

i have a number of friends and MSCP members who have had their montys since 2009 and are very happy with their units. no incidents whatsoever

Yung spare tire ko sa fieldmaster ko never ko nagamit, after six years decided to use it, two months lang bumigay na. May life span kasi mga tires ,gamitin man or hindi, so kelangan talaga gamitin na lang para masulit

This sudden acceleration is really becoming a hot topic....what I can not understand is a manual tranny suddenly accelerating.....not unless you put it in 1st gear, it shouldn't be. There must be some human intervention there.
