Time to check mine.
Is the VIN Number in the vehicle Certificate of Registration?

Luckily mine says "not on the list" but still advised by SA to have the unit inspected..

Mine is an MS GTV, April 25, 2011
Just checked the MMPC website and kasama ang Monty ko sa safety check, kaboom!
Well, looking at the bright side, I am looking forward to having a brand new front suspension lower arm, front propeller shaft and power assisted reclining switch, hehehe

Mine included too. Well better be safe than sorry.

Fortunate enough to be the first to go to the dealer here in Butuan. Luckily, they were sent 1 pair of lower arm already. They had me leave my GTV after inspection and found that they needed to be replaced. Having a new set of lower arms isn't really bad after all is it? Didn't have to wait for their email, call or whatever. I guess this is one of the perks of living in small cities where you have come to know the SA already.

Doc Jay, did they show you why and what exactly was the problem on the lower arm? We know it was related to some weld problem but just wondering if you had the chance to take some photos of that welded part. Thanks. ;)
Yup, brand new lower arm suspensions at no cost! Yahoo!

thanks for posting sir jayteecie, now i know, yan pala yung (left and right) lower arm suspensions![]()
Yup most likely change din sa inyo. Can't help but be paranoid now that there's this recall. Better verify from dealership if they have the parts already. Otherwise, better not to "Hataw" muna to be safe.

Just got word (actually SMS) from my dealer.
For my unit, the safety check is ONLY for the reclining switch. No inspection needed on the lower arm and propeller shaft.
I did not realize that the safety check was very specific per unit
