    I guess the magnesium paddle shifters are just for the GT-V variant

    But my point is the 4x2 is still a major upgrade; especially in power

    Although the GTV gets the same engine power as 4x2; it is not such a big power difference from outgoing 3.2.

    Hence the extras (grill, 5sp paddle, & rear spoiler) on the GTV to compensate.

    i do agree with you sir Expatio. i think the current 4 speed Automatic still does a good job. if it was able to handle the 3.2 4M41 pretty well in INVECS-II(Montero Sport) and Non-INVECS-II(Strada), then it should for the 2.5 4D56 VGT since the power and (especially the) torque stats are not too far away.

    and since you have a clearer picture of what to expect, i think you are probably having sleepless nights...

    in a way, VGTs are really designed for ATs immediate response and engine power improvement.. avoiding the turbo lag whereas in MT, you can manually control the rpm to let the turbo kicks in

    thats why all monty MT remains the same - 4x2 and 4x4

    Am looking forward alright, Ian. It will be my first car in The Philippines. I have 2 OLD (old but nice) RHD cars back home which I better sell now that I am a resident here.

    5vs4 speed =Better gaz mileage + more speed.

    -- IMHO in the near near future it will be 5 AT invecs II na rin. If you can't wait sir, try the VGT 2.5, yun 5 AT na.

    All the accessories standard on the 2010 Montero SE were retained po. 8-way power leather seats, HID hlamps, hybrid type LSD, auto climate aircon, etc.

    Thanks sir expatio. I am getting sana the se, kaya i am really thinking if gt-v will be better. I like the 4m41 so far, medyo me drag lang siya sa 1st gear(08 gls 4x4) kaya i think 5 speed will be a good change kaso 4d56 na pala ang ipapalit nila. Alam naman natin na less ang cost ng 4d56 compared to 4m41 kaya i am really looking for good features pa na upgrade nila mula sa natipid nila since same price sya sa old se.

    sir, for the mean time 4x2 MT Montero will remain unchanged. wala babaguhin. although ang position ng MMPC is to introduce the VGT on the AT variants muna. we hope that within the year GLX 4x2 MT will also sport the 2.5 VGT engine. for the 4x4 MT... it's a 2.5 non-VGT engine but will have the 3-MID Interface (NAVI and TPMS is integrated) and the tailpipe finisher.

    mga sirs, eto lang po ang mga spec change sa 2011 montero on all variants plus the tailpipe finisher. nothing more, nothing less.
    for internal consumption lang sana ng MMPC itong doc na ito. but i guess you guys deserves the info.
