More economical than all petrol variants is the AWD-only, six-speed manual-only ASX 4WD diesel, which returns Toyota Camry Hybrid-beating fuel consumption of just 5.8L/100km and comes with the same pricetag as the ASX 4WD CVT petrol. Mitsubishi says that makes it the lowest priced diesel SUV available, bar the SsangYong Actyon ($26,990).

-- sana dalhin din ng MMPC dito sa pinas yung 1.8 ltr diesel varaint, mas matipid ito for sure vs GLX 2WD petrol.

IF they do bring it here, hopefully the price would still be competitive against the likes of the TUCSON diesel.

Very nice to hear that kaya lang mas mahal na yan pag dumating dito sa atin. Sana price is right ng masubukan naman. May nababasa ako noon na maglalabas ang hyundai ng 1.7L U2 crdi tucson so ibig sabihin mas mura ito than the present R-series powered model. Huh.. the competition is heating up

I want that EVO X 4B11T under the hood of this RVR & price it around 2M or less, possible?
Don't you know that Guinness Book of Recod has awarded to the damn World's first online-test drive of Mitsu Outee Sport?
Slight increase of Mitsu sales in North America due to this Smart Active Crossover, you can have one at 199 bucks lease per month.

What's the light below the projectors? Does it turn on with the low beam or with the park lights? I encountered an asx on C5 and it has a bright LED looking light facing the side. Seems like a nice feature

    Maybe that's the park lights.

Or the AFS feature (if there is)

Depende... Would it make sense to make the ASX in Thailand? Especially its exported globally... Alam mo naman mga Hapon pag global exports na to US or Europe they prefer to do it home, kasi they believe mas magaling parin sila...

yup tama, andun parin yung superiority complex ng mga hapon, pero ang tanong eh kaya pa kaya ng pisi nila isustain ang ganung mentality when the currency is burying them down by the minute? and demands of vehicles being made in their JP backyard isn't performing great in the market either... hehe

personally, I think inde rin malayo mangyari iproduce sa thailand kasi if you would remember yung global small which is gonna be manufactured in thailand is gonna be exported din to every possible market eh, so I think their opening the possibilities nadin on THAI made cars being sold globally...oh well, either way, basta dumating yung diesel dito I think kikita parin yun kahit papano...just price it fair...unlike the current one...

i'm afraid that doesn't seem to be the focus of MMTh for now... maganda sana sa MMPC where the plant is not that fully utilized just yet.

unless we wait for the JPEPA to fully evolve in a few years from now then its price will probably drop! hehehe...

Among the big Japan automakers only Nissan called it quits manufacturing in Japan and have shifted elsewhere... All the others especially Toyota are very hard headed and still believe that making cars in Japan makes sense... See the pattern? All the others have Japanese CEO's. Akio Toyoda (Toyota), Takanobu ito (Honda), Osamu Masuko (Mistubishi), Ikuo Mori (Fuji Heavy aka Subaru)... Japanese superiority complex reigns in their blood... Only Nissan has a French-Lebanese CEO which is Carlos Ghosn of Renault...

hehe ano nga kayang kahihinatnan nitong mga jap brands na ito?...I think if they didn't straighten up their act, the koreans will kick there hard heads bigtime...

I remembered suddenly when carlos ghosn was implenting the cost cutting plan for nissan, he violated quite a handful of japanese labor etiquettes, one of those and probably the most criticized was the laying off of jobs...

*ian, oh well, who knows pag fully updated na ang planta ng MMPC baka hindi lang ASX ang gawin pati narin yung FUZION diesel...

    wishful thinking mode nanaman...

Maganda nga sana sa MMPC na lang but sad to say that in our beloved country there is 60/40 restriction of company/business ownership.
