Car&Driver quotes the US-spec Lancer GTS weighing 3050 lb (~1380kg) and smoking to 60 mi/h from standstill at 7.8 seconds.
What we need, though, is real-world overtaking info. How quickly can a Lancer accelerate from 50-70 mi/h (80-120 km/h) in each gear?

...in addition, majority also need a fuel efficient car. Me thinks the fuel consumption will be close to old gen galants.

If you ask me, a more sensible engine would be a 2.0L CRDi VGT which is more than capable of reaching 180hp and an excess of 400nm torque. Example: the BMW X3 only 2.0L diesel. Has enough hp and more than enough torque to drag that heavy lump of a lancer.

My officemate in Qatar bought a new Silver Lancer 1.8GLx...Pangit pala pag steel wheels lang with cover. The front grill is hawig sa Old Shark Galant. Mas maganda siguro ang lalabas dito sa atin sa Pinas.

Pahirapan na naman sa mga gustong magpalit ng HU. You would have to buy a customized panel to accommodate 1-DIN or 2-DIN units. Dagdag gastos pa, instead of plug and play na lang.
