My old Samsung aircon is already acting up. Well sulit na siya for 15 years. Planning to get a new one, but inverter of course. Noticed that halos same price lang sila ng split type. So would I still get a window type or mag split type na lang para mas quiet?

I prefer window type as it's easier to do cleaning maintenance on my own. If you don't like to tinker with things, then it doesn't matter.

One advantage of split type is that it gives you the option where to put the evaporator in almost any place you want.

if there is no pressing reason for split type, i recommend you remain window type.
window types are usually easier to maintain.

Split type for aesthetics and the installation flexibility . I find them quieter as well.

Window type for easy of installation and maintenance. Older units can be very noisy.

Halos split type na aircon gagamitin namin sa bahay. Installation cost is high but it’s the only way to do airconditioning based on our design.

So is a window inverter aircon quieter than a regular window aircon?

that's true. Because of the inverter compressor motor. My Panasonic inverter fridge was quieter than my older non-inverter fridge.
