Reminds me of our old 2HP Carrier Aircon circa late 70's in the den which we replaced a couple of weeks ago with a newer Carrier Icool green unit. We were joking that if we had that old unit cleaned, it would collapse because all the dirt and grime was holding it up, but we simply just waited for it to quit which it did a few weeks ago. The new unit has no inverter but it is way quieter than the old one (which sounded like a ship as most units did back in the day) and less bulkier in size that the technicians had to stuff some styrofoam to fill in the gaps in the opening.

That's the problem with window type. Wala na yatang standard size ngayon eh.

Bakit hinde gawin na standard ang dimensions ng kada HP across all brands.

If you need a compact A/C...

wala naman tayong choice. Hitachi lang ang compact A/C na inverter

Ok so looks like I'll stick with window type then. Hmmm this LG looks better than the window type aircons!

They're not ... at least not significant enough to be noticeable ...

If you have a choice, get the "standard" size window aircon ... yeah, compact size are those below 1HP but there are some 1HP in compact size also ...
