condo's are required to provide lighting in common areas, water pump and atleast one elevator working during power interruptions, dyan napupunta ung part ng association dues. kaya kung ayaw nyo magbayad ng association dues sa lower floors na lang kayo bumili ng unit.

I have a comercial groundfloor unit at regalia towers, tower genset only powers common areas and the elevator.

Though pede daw ako maglagay ng sarili ko genset since nasa ibaba daw ako.

I was just wondering kung pano ang buhay ng mga nasa highrise condo ng sm kung walang kuryente? Kandila? Emergency light?

    any feedback guys?

Kung kayo, ano ang pipiliin ninyo?

Iniisip ko kasi ang LPG, may stock kami palagi kasi siyempre ginagamit namin sa pagluluto.

Eto napabili ako 3600w Denki. Gasoline fed open-type genset. Maingay sya considering it's an open type. Pero gagawan ko ng enclosure with sufficient vents and exterior pipe for the exhaust.20140717_090529.jpg

    Ok na kaya itong pangmatagalan?

    Nice thirty six hundred, bro....

Ilang liters ang capacity ng tangke? Looks to me like 12liters+,- meaning you can run it overnight, without refiling the tank....

Pretty much the same actually, on our part that is. The genset unit in our condo can power the common areas, elevators, water pumps, and for each unit a maximum of 3 CFL's, a fridge, and 2 electric fans. If you turn on a TV or aircon, a breaker switch will trip. You'd have to go down to maintenance and have it re-activiated again.

This is a DMCI condo, I hope it stays the same in the future. Laking ginhawa in times of crisis.

18 liter tank bro. It says, "8-hours continuous run" maybe more depende sa load. Potek ang mahal ng langis na nilagay during testing P600/ltr 20w-50.

Typically, at stage1 loading,- meaning nominal,- 1 liter per hour ang consumo... So, good for 18 hours iyan on a full tank

Ayos bro.,- And very good price, IMO.

    A friendly reminder folks:
Always have a fire extinguisher handy next to the genset.
Carbon monoxide kills silently. Only use genset in a well ventilated area. It is a good idea to have a carbon monoxide alarm where toxic fumes might go.

That is right, bro... And I agree with bro.jick,- a fire extinguisher on standby....

Also important - for those who are just turning off the main breaker,- make sure that your genset is not connected to your line when you turn back the main breaker on as main power becomes available. Your genset will now be acting like a motor and it could explode.....

I think it will not act as a motor, rather it may not synchronize the genset output to the distributor like meralco it may damage some loads as it will not be a single phase anymore.
