    sorry for semi-hijacking the discussion...

Anyone here own Kipor diesel gensets? Mukhang marami na ring dealers dito. They've also made some inroads in the US and Australia. Japan-made gensets are just way outside my price range.

It's for home use. Can you PM your daughter's contact number? Does she have 10-20 KVA units? Thank you.

There is a Genset now that is FUELLESS, 25KW by DAZO. Check it out, may kamahalan lang pero it frees you from
    electric bills and brown-outs.

Ano ba ok. Need ko max 3kva. Isang 2hp Aircon=1.5 kva + electric fan x3= 0.120 kva. Lights .160kva.

    Total mga 1.6 kva.
    As ok ba deisel?
    What brands should I consider?

Pano pag tumagal ng 1 year ang diesel sa tank any problem?

Also Mas maganda ba ang di hila? Since we may use it 2-5x a year pag nag brown out.

    Thanks

You'll need to consider the starting power needed for the 2 HP aircon. Normally it's 3 times the running power. You need at least 5 KVA to run those, 7 KVA would be best.

main selling points of diesel for me is:

    - more efficient than gasoline
    - longer shelf life. Oftentimes you'll forget to stock on "new" fuel; some say you can keep diesel for 7-10 years, yung gasolina 1-2 years lang.
    - diesel is stable at room temperature; gasoline turns into gas
    - diesel is a lot less volatile/flammable than gasoline. Look it up on youtube.

Although if you do have gasoline-fed cars, that could act as your fuel reserve. Just siphon off what you need when disaster strikes.

Personally i'd go for the ones with electric starters(kahit matanda pwede istart), but the de hila startup is a nice backup in case your battery drains out in storage.

This is correct, you need to consider the starting current which is times 3. Yun kasi ang malaki ang load sa generAtor.
