Guys, I need your advice. I've been looking for my first car for weeks now. I saw a 2009 Mazda 3 1.6S unit for sale here at tsikot. 115 DP, 52 months to pay at 16,805/ mo. Bargain na ba yun? How about the fuel economy? Ilang km per liters ba ang Mazda 3 1.6?

Why don't you wait for the 2010 model? lalabas na yun mazda 2 next month yata, I already saw ads for reservation. Maybe early next year lalabas yun 2010

Depende kasi sa gusto mo. Ako muntik na akong maging first batch owner ng 2009 Honda City pero I fell in love with the Mazda 3.

Eto ang reasons ko bakit I chose Mazda 3(middle variant) over the Honda City(high end)

1. Value for money(more features)
- more spacious interior
- nicer interiors mala BMW ang dating
- Black out meters
- Auto climate control
- 6 CD changer with 6 speakers
- Steering wheel audio controls

2. Sportier looks at different angles( type ko lang yung grille at headlights
ng Honda the rest hindi na)

3. Drives like a BMW and the Zoom Zoom driving experience


To be fair, eto naman advantage ng Honda city over Mazda 3

1. Mas fuel efficient
2. Powerful engine(under powered kasi ang Mazda 3 with only 104 hp with
heavier curb weight)
3. Paddle shifters

couldn't agree more. In my case, i have been given a rate for the V model that was almost tantamount for the 2.0R model. getting the 2.0 model was a no brainer. good luck on your purchase!

1. Look for Metrobank, BDO, BPI car loan then choose the lowest interest rate
2. Ask a sizeable discount(back read lang kayo, or read other Mazda 3 threads) for Mazda 1.6S, usually mas malaki ang discount na binibigay sa S compared sa V. Kasi daw mas mabenta daw ang V. Kaya V ang kinuha ko kasi loaded ng maraming features.

3. Then P.O. it using the car loan plus your downpayment. Don't avail the inhouse financing/or promo.

Sa rate na binigay sa yo makakabili ka na ng V model na may extra features below na wala S

1. ABS+EBD+BA
2. Black-out meters
3. 2 airbags
4. Auto Climate controls

Also, I have another question and I think this would sound a little stupid...I was mejo kapos pa ako sa budget so I was thinking of paying the down using both on hand cash and credit card..pwede po kaya toh?TIA

7-8 km/l you can improve this number by using e10

My normal is 9.5kms/liter but I have had to drive very conservatively for this to happen.

Sa hi-way mas mataas. It reaches more than 12. I dont know precisely kung ilan pero more than 12 kasi this long vacation I got 560kms on 45 liters combined city/hway - 12.4kms/liter

The biggest secret is to accelerate gently. Dont press the pedal until at least youre in third gear. Medyo mabagal ang acceleration kasi mabigat ung kaha pero wag mo pipilitin pabilisin. You'll just end up wasting gas.

Incidentally, hindi ko alam kung ano nagpapabigat sa car natin. Yung kaha kaya nya lang talaga ang mabigat? Kasi wala nmn ako makita na kakaiba para maging ganun kabigay un.
