Finally aligned my headlamps, pantay na yung level ng left and right headlights. Simple DIY fix thanks to Google (wasted 100 pesos of labor in Banawe yesterday and I think they didn't know where the proper adjustment screw was kaya hindi naayos).
However, super hina pa rin ng buga ng low beam. Parang glorified park light lang. I guess retrofit is the way to go...

I backread all 123 pages of this thread and it seems that there aren't really much people who bought the 2.0R back then. Was hoping to learn more about the Mz3 but there was really nothing discussed that wasn't available in the brochures back in the day. Of course, it can also be viewed as something positive - the Mazda 3 wasn't a headache to own so there wasn't much discussion about it.
Hardly any body roll even when cornering - the Mazda 3 is such a fun toy to carve corners with.

I'm actually still very happy with the performance of my 11-year old Mazda 3. It has most of the toys that the new 3 has, with a better engine than the 1.5V, drives really well, and best of all, costs 1/3 a bnew Mazda 3 (1/4 if we're looking at the equivalent 2.0R).
Besides, I just bought a brand new compact. 😁
Since Mazdas have poor resale value, in 5 years I could probably sell the Altis and get a 2.0R for the same price. 😄

This was actually something i was considering some time ago (for a second car). Buying a second hand Mazda is quite a good deal indeed so long as you get one that's decently maintained (i've seen some quite ratty units too). It's like buying a Nissan before; good car, good value for money for second hand buyers. And when you resell, your percentage drop in resale isn't too bad anymore. I saw one 2.0R up for sale on OLX which looked promising too.
Aren't we all glad to see how Mazda has turned out to be the true Hobo badge. New or old, you get way more than you actually pay for.:D....
Unlike those other makes who now only have history of resale to flaunt, badges of preconceived reliability to bank on, but actually lack the substance motorists & enthusiasts alike are looking for ......who are they really kidding?:D✌
Grats on the great M3 find, jut sir! Hope someday you'll find yourself a good used gen3.![]()
