    By the way, nice sig...

I'm planning to buy a car probably by the end of the year and the Mazda 2 1.5R sport hatch is one of the cars I'm considering. The things I'm concerned about is Fuel Consumption, Maintenance and Reliability. Would like to ask current owners about these two. Also priced at 799k do you think its worth it? I'm also considering the Vios 1.5g which priced at 790K minus the discount, the Accent 1.6 blue priced at 808k and the Jazz 1.3S. Looking at the specs they seem to have more features.

For the owners, what is the strongest point of the Mazda 2 sport? I did not include the Fiesta because I currently own a Ford Focus and didn't liked their after sales service. Thanks.

I'll be honest: if you need to transport passengers or haul cargo, you'll be better off with either the vios, accent, or the jazz. all have better legroom and better cargo space than the mazda2 hatchback.

the mazda2 also doesn't have that fuel consumption meter or a usb port for music.

the strongest point of the mazda2 is really it's driving dynamics with its responsive engine and insane handling. hehe

Thanks! I guess I really have to consider the cargo space capacity if it suites my needs. Any known issues on the Mazda 2? Like something to look for after getting it from the dealer?

Sa 3 criteria mo I would say get the Vios. Panalo sa fuel consumption (best in class), same with maintenance (best in class outside the CASA, inside the CASA baka mas mahal pa sa Jazz kasi every 5000km ang Toyota tapos every10,000km ang Honda). Reliability tops din as long as private use lang.

Its just boring to drive though... And its so common, so mabilis ka masasawa sa kotse mo...

As for the Ford service you would be surprised that the Mazda dealers are also owned by the Ford dealers. For example Mazda Quezon Ave is owned by the same group which operate Ford Balintawak, Ford Quezon Ave. and Ford Commonwealth. While Mazda Greenhills is owned by Ford EDSA... So if you didn't like their service you're just going to the same people...

if you really need the cargo space and want the mazda 2... go for the sedan. bigger trunk than a vios.

current issues? isa lang... yung annoying sound sa may suspension over small bumps (which is that - annoying. no effect on the functionality and durability of the suspension)

mazda thailand is currently working on a fix though

I'd go for the accent over the vios if sila lang ang pagpipilian mo.

currently driving a mazda2 sedan and it's fun, sporty, and practical at the same time

Wow thanks for the info. Wasn't really aware of that. I'm still open with the Ford brand. I think the problems I encountered can be isolated to just a particular dealer. But I currently own a Ford Focus so I decided to go for another brand for my next car. The Focus really handles well. We also own a Lancer Cedia and I can imagine the Vios handling will probably be the same or little better than the Cedia. This is the primary reason why the Mazda 2 and Jazz was included in my choices. I'll have to set my priorities straight. Really difficult to choose a car these days but at the same time feels good since there are many choices. I'll test drive the Vios first and see if I can live with its handling.
