yes sir... that's the only major issue in M2, but does not affect safety...
unlike other new cars who have a long list of issues...

you test drove it already... guess you've experienced it's responsiveness and great handling...

blue and red are top variants as well, but they have sedan for these colors... green is in hatch only.

sir yung recommended tire pressure can be found at the driver's side... when you open the door, sticker on the side of driver (not on the door)

*synysterG, replacement parts are on the way to the philippines by september. but i have a hunch that newer cars should not encounter these problems anymore. ito lang R&P ang major problem ng M2 but is not related to safety (sabi nila)... other than that okay naman ang M2...

as to the maintenance cost, you can check with Mazda dealers - its every 10K naman sya.

yes. it's only for the 1.5 hatch. other colors for this variant are white, silver, red and blue. (afaik, may silver na rin cmiiw)

sa mga 1.5 sedan, white, silver, gray, & black. red and blue are limited editions (please cmiiw jiggs and scharnhorst)

mas playful ang colors ng 1.3l variants. may light blue/gray and brown

^^expect to spend between 4k to 10k, depending on the parts that are going to be replaced.

it's nice to be back in tsikot. hehe

Good day tsikoteers! been reading this thread for more than 2 weeks now and finally decided that im getting a mazda 2 1.3 hatchback. few questions lang from those of you who know of or own this variant.

    1. How is the fuel consumption of this model? i have read about the FC of the 1.5 variants and i am wondering if the 1.3 is more economical

    2. Im planning to get my unit by the end of september and i was wondering if there if the suspension issue will still be an issue for me.

Thanks in advance sirs! long live the mazda 2!

    1) the 1.3 sedan users are getting a city economy of around 10-12 km/liter, which is definitely better than the 1.5...

    2) yes, the noise will still be there - a fix is still in the pipes... but mazda has confirmed that it's at best an annoyance (no bearing on the durability of the components)

Good day guys! planning to get one this year (lapit na matapos happy new year!)

new po ako sa tsikot and been reading the thread from page 1-to the last...
    pansin ko lang:
FC = very low for a small lightweight car compared to others especially the 1.4L Hyundai Accent.
Problems with the Suspensions... = i have tested an m2 sa Mazda GH at nagustuhan ko kaya m2 kukunin ko kaso nga hearing this "Suspension" problem, medyo haras ako sa lubak at uneven road, ayoko din ng maingay na nakakairita...
solved na po ba ang issue na to kasi pansin ko 1mo+ na last post dito... sabi by Oct daw ayus na, Nov na wala parin ako balita...

Is This Still Worth Buying or get another 1 instead? choices are Hyundai Accent 1.4 A/T, Kia Picanto A/T, Mazda 2 1.3 M/T Sedan...

You're comparing two different beasts. One is something practical and the other is fun. Fun = more gas.. I learned that when I started cornering the streets using my sister's Mazda3.

I wouldn't worry about the Mz2's suspension. The Accent has its own quirks especially their engine knock problem. It boils down to what you are. Are you in the 20s? If then so, the Mazda 2 would give you fun when it's due. But if you're the type that likes a soft suspension and fuel thriftiness, go for the Accent or Vios.

Disclosure: Went from Mazda3 (I got one of the very first units in the Philippines :naughty2 to a Hyundai Sonata. I miss the Mazda3's handling but I'm pretty content with having better NVH isolation and a softer suspension.
